    Wallabies 2021

Barbarian, my answers to your questions, in order 1) Slipper 2) Probably not, but for mine Kaitu'u is the selection 3) Yes, but I've got Neville and Phillip in front of him 4) See 2) 5) No 6) Has been a bit disappointing, but I'm still selecting him. I've got Valetini at 6 7) This is a tough...

Super Rugby-TT: Rd 1 Waratahs v Hurricanes, May 14th, SCG

Just a note on an individual, how much work does Sinclair get through? Nothing flashy, but in terms of carries, tackles and rucks hit he has to be around the top of the numbers.

Super Rugby-TT: Rd 1 Waratahs v Hurricanes, May 14th, SCG

Two big issues in defence for the Tahs. One on one tackles, way too many missed, many more have to stick. And re-aligning in broken play. When the opposition was playing a structured game, the Tahs structure was good, but when things went ad lib, after a dropped ball, intercept, charge down or...

Super Rugby-TT: Rd 1 Waratahs v Hurricanes, May 14th, SCG

Well, I enjoyed that, despite all the flaws and the bagging out by most here, it was fun to watch. The defense by the Tahs backs was pathetic, with Mark N (Nawaqanitawase) one of the worst I have ever seen. It may be bias, but I thought the Tahs pack actually got a points victory on the night. I also though the...

    Waratahs 2022

FP I think you might be a bit hard on Bell. He got worked over by Tupou, but that aside most of the grief I saw with the Tahs pack has been on the tight head side. Unfortunately, I don't believe switching HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) has worked.

Wouldn't mind having Dane Coles and Jordie Barrett in my C team!!

    Wallabies 2021

I'm still happy with To'omua at 12 and Paisami at 13. I agree To'omua has been a bit mixed at 10 for the Rebels, but I think most people on here agree he's not really a 10. I can't remember him having a poor game at 12 for the Wallabies. I think there's no doubt Paisami needs to be there, but...

    Trans-Tasman Super Rugby 2021

Couldn't see the Tahs odds there. I imagine if I could get $100 on them it gets into 'I never have to work again' territory!

    Wallabies 2021

I don't think Bell's scrummaging has been too bad. He didn't handle Thor, but name a loose head who has. No-one else has caused him any grief. I like Robbo, a real meat and potatoes prop, but he's a bit light and I think Bell is the future. Clearly behind Slipper, but I would still be giving him...

    Waratahs 2022

And when they signed him, everyone would be belting them about spending all their money on a backrower when they have plenty and need locks and tight head props. FFS, this year we've had a backrower plying lock because we don't have any, and with Matera and Hooper back we'd have had someone like...

    Wallabies 2021

UTR, happy with that excepting the locks and bench. For mine I have Phillip and Neville as locks, LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) and McReight on the bench. Depending on the pattern of the game, McReight could really have some impact off the bench, and LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) can cover both the row and 6. Also, I have Daugunu over Petaia on...

Super Rugby AU Grand Final - Reds v Brumbies - Saturday 8th May 2021

Well, that was great watching, probably not as tense for a neutral observer, although I was pleased to see the Reds win, a just result from the steady building of a young team they've done over the last four years. One question, with eight against six, why wouldn't you just keep packing a scrum...

Super Rugby AU Grand Final - Reds v Brumbies - Saturday 8th May 2021

Any of you Reds supporters know why Blythe has been out of favour? I thought he was looking the goods last year.

    Waratahs 2022

Reg, I appreciate as a Red you're standing up for a favourite son, but I think by any measure Knuckles is yesterday's man. And while you belittle Cheika's record (as is the popular position on GAGR), a record of two Shute Shield titles, taking Leinster from relegation to European Cup champions...

    Waratahs 2022

I agree with the above comments. What we need to keep our powder dry for are a THP, an experienced quality lock and a try-scoring type winger

    Refereeing decisions

That may seem logical BR, however the law is clear, once the ball is over the line the maul is over.

Super Rugby AU 2021 Team of the Week

BR, while Elof did put pressure on Bell, Bell handled that pressure (the weakness in the Tahs side was all coming from TH, where HJH (Harry Johnson-Holmes) was struggling) and Bell was outstanding around the paddock.

    Waratahs 2021

IMHO Harrison is a better runner with the ball, and has a better kicking game. Donaldson, OTH, has better game management and is a stronger defender. Personally I would prefer Donaldson, but would like to see Harrison retained, and yes, maybe at 15.

He could spend some time on the sideline, if they look at both the tackle and the ensuing punch.
