Indeed, how many of us thought we looked good last pre-season? Come on, admit it, I did!

    Rebels 2018

There has been a big focus on decision-making when fatigued, so they are running them ragged - they should (should) be fit for round 1.

I don’t think our 10s squad will be chock full of Wallabies, either. A bit of cotton-woolling going on.

    Rebels 2018

I had word this one (v Brumbies) will not include the Wallabies and big guns. Mainly extend squad. The trial v the Tahs will include more Wallabies etc.

You can just pin “Monash Freeway at a standstill “ at the top of the thread.

Before anyone says something about needing a major sponsor, I agree this is something we desperately need, but there are people who’s job that is. The Rebels engaging in other activities doesn’t stop the search for a sponsor. I would hope they can do several things at once. It’s like when the...

So, this news will just add fuel to the “they should be trying to get a major sponsor blah blah blah”: https://melbournerebels.com/2018/01/28/rebels-partner-with-rugby-south-australia-and-rugby-tasmania/

McDonald sell millions of hamburgers every day. It doesn’t mean they are any good.
  9. GoMelbRebels

    Rebels 2018

So they should all just focus on one thing and nothing else? Bravo, that would get us far!

Ballarat, watch out - the GAGR brigade will be in town!

Into the new year, I would say he IS hanging around, we can only hope.

No mention of Alex Toolis in this list of locks: “Parling will bring a wealth of experience to a highly competitive squad and depth to the locks which feature Adam Coleman, Matt Philip, Sam Jeffries and young guns Esei Ha’angana and Trevor Hosea.”...

I’m not sure about Sefa but Hodge extended his contract to the end of 2020 at the start of the 2017 season, which was after his Wallabies debut.

I fear Quade at the Rebels could be another O’Connor / Beale / Cipriani.

I was thinking the same thing (nothing against him, but do we want to go there?). Anyway, I would have thought Jack Deb took Jono’s place anyway, so Quade moving is unlikely in my opinion.

    Rebels 2018

And don’t forget the other Jack, McGregor.
  18. GoMelbRebels

    Rebels 2018

    I sees him at training.
  19. GoMelbRebels

    Rebels 2018

Yeah, they said that of Jack D. Still, good to see Jack Deb back. Maybe Dave Wessels can unlock his potential.

My, you talk a load of WA shit! Rugby may be smaller in participation numbers in Vic (I’m not even going to argue that), but Rugby has been around in Vic for years (hells, my Quins have been here since 1928!) and will remain so, Rebels or not.
