Maybe I'm wrong but I just don't think the northern clubs are properly structured to take on NZ super sides. NZ super sides have much more condensed talent and depth, I would have thought. And I think the talent available is still pretty much the best in the world.

They could lengthen the season and just not have a finals series as well. The top team pretty much always wins anyway.

I reckon this game showed the difference in pecking order of the sport in the respective countries quite a lot. Super Rugby distant fourth for available athletes and it showed. Smaller and less athletic than the Chiefs boys across the park.
