    Shute Shield 2013 Transfers

Clearly I beg to differ - Myles was "best on field" on more than one occasion in first Grade at Wests, the bloke has a good skill set on him and in the right environment my just surprise some. Personally I am unlikely to surprised.

    Shute Shield 2013

Never saw the original or full post but from all accounts average stuff. Soseni played many more than a "few" super games, obviously you are forgetting his time with the Chiefs, not to mention Waikato in the NPC. He was red hot during this time which resulted in him being rewarded with his one...

    Shute Shield 2013

Note the term rumoured, the Cohen-Mason situation corrected on here a long way back regarding him playing at Wests. I also stated that I believed Paseta would be with Penrith in 2013 - and in terms of Mark Murray he was recently named in the Waikato 7s side in NZ which means he is back there...

    Shute Shield 2013 Transfers

Parra "in comp" transfers apart from the previous one identified from training photos. Myles Hunkin - 2 (from Wests) Solomona Salipa - 9 (from Penrith) As well as that there a number of incoming players from elsewhere - some of whom are expected to figure strongly in our S.S side. We have...

    Shute Shield 2013 Transfers

My understanding is it is now not confirmed. I think (opinion only) that they are planning on him playing for the Wallabies after Super rugby so I don't think he will be assigned a club. I also think it is a massive missed opportunity for rugby in the West and to grow the game as a whole - for...

    Shute Shield 2013

Sure was, Soseni is fantastic, hasn't missed a session in off-season or pre-season so far. He is our fittest player and fastest and a leader in every sense of the word.

    Shute Shield 2013 Transfers

I am giving all three the space needed to settle. They have all made a fairly major decision based purely on rugby, it is always a big call to change clubs within the same competition and it takes a player a few trainings at the new club to feel part of it. When they feel part of it you can...

    Shute Shield 2013

That is good news regarding Concord. I am sure all S.S Clubs enjoy playing there (I don't personally - too hard to win there). Regarding Kohen-Mason, a good pick up for West Harbour - the point remains he is lost to Penrith so undoubtately a blow for them. Tidy footballer though. No one...

    Shute Shield 2013

In my opinion Penrith need to undertake a long term project to raise the profile and standing of the Club. Perhaps repetitively and continually been in a hurry to fix things and get things going has resulted in things falling apart over and over - hence the need to start from scratch every year...

    Shute Shield 2013 Transfers

In terms of "in comp" transfers Parra have very little. We have picked up 1 first grade player from Penrith, 1 first grade player from West Harbour and 1 first grade player from Randwick. I won't name them just yet as one of them at least has to get round his mates etc and let everyone know -...

    Shute Shield 2013 Transfers

So training has been going a couple of weeks - c'mon people who is where?

Agree - hope so as well.

    Shute Shield 2013

Emu's have lost a few with the three tight forwards now at Randwick, Mark Murray has returned to NZ and Cohen-Mason rumoured to be with Easts. Parra have picked up one Penrith First Grade player and all I will say is it's got nothing to do with money - unsure what's behind the decision of the...

    Shute Shield 2013

Gents, come across some hearsay myself today and I hope it is just that. Hoping someone here may know something about it. I heard West Harbour were losing concord as their home ground - would be a massive blow for rugby union to lose the ground off the Shute Shield landscape. Anyone out there...

    Shute Shield 2013

Thanls No8, your support is appreciated in this part of Sydney. Imagine what a great forum this could be if we had a good handful of S.S coaches on here mixing with those who are way smarter than us. C'mon, I know you're out there;).

    Shute Shield 2013

I agree - and yes, its really me. I am happy to end speculation as much as I am able although will probably not discuss individuals as its not fair on them. I am sure there are plenty hiding here - and just as many agenda's going on. But all good fun at the end of the day. Everyones...

    Shute Shield 2013

I for one am a fan of Warringah, their ability to shift the momentum of a game is second to none. They play with width and have pace to burn, the old saying of "give them an inch and they take a mile" is certainly relevant for the Rats. I won't comment on Harvey except some interesting timing...

    Shute Shield 2013

Pre season going well, the new guys are training hard in an effort to earn their opportunity and fitness levels should be a lot better this season. Whilst I won't go into detail about the new guys we have a bit more depth this year. Not sure if we are stronger in terms of talent yet - but...

    Shute Shield 2013

Well - I have been a keen observer of these forums and have enjoyed the opinions contained here. I couldn't let this one slide without coming on board as I seriously doubt the accuracy of the above. Undoubtably I have got the "man management" side of things wrong from time to time and will do...
