NSW JRU State Championships & Representative Teams 2014

Central Coast won the U'17s Country Championships beating the Hunter who had won the previous two years. They also had a great run in the JGC only losing to Victoria 24-7 and Sydney North Harbour 12-11. Over the weekend they have beaten Eastwood, Gordon and Warringah, all of whom have clearly...

NSW JRU State Championships & Representative Teams 2014

Central West appear to have had some good results and I would of thought that these players would of made up the Western NSW team in the JGC. Western NSW won only one of their pool games. Maybe they have found a coach that is coaching the basics to get them playing as a team. Good luck to...

Continued decline in Sydney Junior Rugby

I managed to find them again on an old web page. Little wonder it is hard to keep kids in Junior sport. Age Group Club Score Year Under 11 102-0 Rd 1, 2003 Under 12 141-0 Rd 11, 2007 Under 13 103-0 Rd 9, 2006 Under 14 110-0 Rd 11, 2007 Under 15 118-0 Rd 17, 2010 Under 16 109-0...

Continued decline in Sydney Junior Rugby

Just dropped my son off to watch his girlfriend play in a school AFL carnival. There were approximately 120 16 yld girls in attendance, something that was totally unheard of in this area a few years ago. I'm just wondering what the ARU's plan is for the next 20 years.

Continued decline in Sydney Junior Rugby

Reminds me of when on the District Junior RU website it had various records, with one being the highest score for each age group. The highest score at the time for my son's age group was 110-0 and the coach at the time told the boys he wanted them to break the record against a team that clearly...

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

Thanks for the results GaffaChino and congratulations to WA and Victoria. I see the ARU are a little behind in posting the previous results so I wonder if we will have another web page of incomplete results like so many I have found.

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

Isn't April fools Day next Tuesday? Thanks for the update. Any news on the results of the other semifinals?

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

Ok you mean losing by 7 or less. So in U17's that explains why Sydney North West have 16 Pts prior to todays game.

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

There appears to be a mistake somewhere because in the U15's ACT have only 2 bonus points and yet scored 36 points in one game and 90 in another. Therefore 2 bonus points for scoring 8 tries hasn't been applied in this instance. So which is it? A bonus point for 4 tries or more or a bonus...

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

I take it you are talking about U17's. The table shows Sydney North West on 16 pts after 3 wins so that is 4 bonus points. Next to the table it shows BP 4t= +1 Point. Looks like against Northern Inland they may have scored 8 tries in their 50 points and were credited with 2 bonus points...

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

There is no bonus point for losing by 7 or less points. There is only a bonus point for scoring 4 tries or more.

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

Sounds like the U17's got their bonus point then and will be through.

ARU Junior Gold Cup - National Junior Championships

I have never said that the boy's personal experience reflected the whole teams experience and of course it doesn't. You certainly aren't going to get the players that played the majority of the game time jumping up and down and complaining. Well I hope not. His mother took the problem higher...
