French Barbarians v Australia, Thursday 24 November

Does the Australia (A?) team have a separate head coach, and/or support coaches to the Wallabies? If not, will Cheika coach two teams located in two different countries, simultaneously, (assuming the Wallabies are in Dublin when the Australia (A?) team plays the French Barbarians)?!

French Barbarians v Australia, Thursday 24 November

That could be so, BR. I haven't heard or seen details of this morning's match, other than the final score on the 7 am radio news, and a short grab on the ABC "Offsiders"showing TK's last minute try, and Foley's conversion. They also showed a moment in the match where Skelton tried to imitate a...

French Barbarians v Australia, Thursday 24 November

Lindommer, I was informed tonight that Sam Carter has joined, or is about to join 'Camp Wallaby', for the French Barbarians match, so I assume it's ditto for the other Aussie Barbarians.

    Thank you Highlander35.

    November Internationals not involving Australia

Toby Smith and Sam Carter also scored 'meat-pies' in Prague!

Much obliged, galumay. It's nice to see my old club's socks (Quirindi Rugby Club) proudly worn by Sam Carter at Wembley Stadium, today!

EOYT 2016 - Possibles, probables and general banter

Question: Given that if Marika Koroibete gets a run with the Wallabies on the EOYT, can anyone tell me who was the last Australian player who's Rugby career included a High School match followed by a Wallabies match?! (Marika has said that he hasn't played Rugby since he was at high school)...

    Brumbies 2017

I am sure many of you Brumbies fans will be interested to know that I have just sent "Cousin Sammy", (Sam Carter) a congratulatory text message to wish him luck as he flies out tomorrow with The Barbarians! He's not good enough to make Cheika's Wallabies squad, but good enough to play with an...

New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

Hello Cyclo. I got it from article in the SMH, dated July 2, 2015, by Georgina Robinson, headed: "Israel Folau to earn almost $2 million per season in new three-year deal with Waratahs and Wallabies". In part, the article said: " The dual international happily declared 'now I feel like a Rugby...

Not really, Rugbybloke123. Read my reply to Pfitzy's post #1018, which may explain my case.

New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

I meant ditching him from the Wallabies squad, Pfitzy, (as in replacing Folau with 4 other layers in different positions @ $500k each on the 'roster')!! [But then, maybe you don't get much of a player for $500k per year for three years, these days]? I don't know the current wages/salaries...

New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

Can't argue with your logic, Pfitzy, except for the glaring fact that "half the team" is not on A$2,000,000 per season!! FYI, Folau is a "Marquee Player", employed to, (and expected to), perform at a much higher level than the "run-of-the-mill" Wallaby players. So many on this forum are prepared...

I would take DHP over Folau, whoever we were playing!

New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

"Brilliant = very bright, dazzling, exceptionally clever, or talented", disco. Tonight, Israel Folau has been none of those. Your standards at the national level appear to be lower than mine. But, you are probably much younger than me, so you have less 'Rugby years' to compare with!! I...

New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

I want to thank Michael Cheika for giving us a team that was 'competitive' for much of the match. Three AB tries off forward passes, made life tough out there for our guys.

New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

Yes, then advanced another 1.5 metres before being creamed! Thrown dumb passses to nobody, or dropped the ball. Watch the replay Seb V, he's "dead in the water", IMO.

New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

It's sad when a ref (Nigel) has to explain the rules of the game to a $2,000,000 a year (x 3 years) player, (Filou)!!

New Zealand v Wallabies, Eden Park, Sat 22nd October

Folau has done nothing to cement his name at #15 for the EOYT.

That AB prick knew he couldn't catch Henry, ran towards DHP, milked a penalty, and the TMO fell for it!

Especially at Suncorp Stadium, and on the after-match train back to the GC.
