    Where to for Super Rugby?

I don't play club rugby anymore but the guys I know who are still involved have told me that the players are there in name only. That might not be true but it seems it is left up to each player to do as they want when it comes to clubs. Again, in terms of school grade rugby, they are next to...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Sorry bro - I wasn't talking about money.

    Wallabies 2021

Slightly off-topic but what happened to Godwin? A few years back, he was the guy who many people here thought would be the next Aussie Super Rugby sensation and Wallaby. Or is this a different Godwin?

    Where to for Super Rugby?

From what I understand, the NPC has lost money in NZ for years and it is propped up the success and income from the ABs. Off on a bit of a tangent here but for an organisation that is desperate for local engagement, I haven't seen anything like 'desperate' from my Super Rugby team here - the Brumbies...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

I don't disagree with you and I have said that numerous times here. NZ NEEDS Australia. Would JOC (James O'Connor) got more as a player and a Wallaby playing for the Chiefs than for the Reds?

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Neither NZR or RA are keen to see player freedom so as much as we want to see it, its unlikely at least in the short term. You don't have to sell me on the idea, I think I was one of the first here to push it! The NRL hasn't always expanded. The NRL cut teams and had mergers and have added only...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Because NZ doesn't NEED it's players playing in Australia. JOC (James O'Connor) at the Chiefs may have weakened the Reds for one season but what might he have learnt playing in the NZ environment. I think you and I both would like to see an open market in Super Rugby but let's not pretend that NZR are the only...

I don't know if I would use the word 'prejudice' but I agree :D

    The Moana Pasifika Franchise

Exactly. Apparently NZ is supposed to identify and identify Pacific Island players AND fund their international teams as well. NZ can be criticised for how it's dealt with the island nations on certain issues but I don't think this is one. It's also a bit rich coming from a...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

C When you don't have one of the most basic and key elements of your design - how many teams are in the competition - then it's a bit rich to say that it is largely a NZ designed competition. And it still doesn't take away from my point - you guys wanted 5 teams and now there's bitching about...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

If it was a NZ designed competition, there would only be 3 Australian teams. If RA think they have the depth for 5 teams then you shouldn’t also be asking for NZ players. Not only do you want Super Rugby to serve as your domestic competition, you want NZ players making it competitive as well

    Wallabies 2021

Most players are playing off the bench because there is someone who is better or has more experience than them. So they get to watch and learn from that better/experienced player. The only person who comes close to that for Lolesio in the Wallabies right now is QC (Quade Cooper). Hodge would be close to my...

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Because it would have made O'Connor a better player. Like Speight. Like Leali'ifano. Short-sighted.

    The Moana Pasifika Franchise

Look at the racist shit Pat Lam had to face just being a Samoan HC. That one still hurts - I wish we could nab him back to the Blues.

    Where to for Super Rugby?

Talk about going around in circles. NZ didn't get everything they wanted either. Originally they wanted 3 teams from Australia because they do actually care about the competitiveness of the comp. As I've mentioned time and again, RA are just not committed enough to starting and developing its...

    Wallabies 2021

If ‘pretty good’ means he didn’t make many mistakes then yeah, he was pretty good. I think that’s the game Ardie made the game-saving turnover in the last minutes when the Wallabies were on the AB line…:)

    Wallabies 2021

Don't swap them. Play Lolesio at 10 and, if fit, JOC (James O'Connor) goes somewhere else in you backline. Maybe 12, maybe 15. I'm just saying that there is no benefit in playing him at 10.

Sure - the guy who was nominated for World Best Player and won the All Black Best Player Award less than 2yrs ago is not world class.:rolleyes:

    Wallabies 2021

I cannot remember one great Wallaby game with JOC (James O'Connor) at 10. I don't know how much better the Wallabies are with him at 10 as opposed to Lolesio. I'd rather see QC (Quade Cooper) there than JOC (James O'Connor) but if fit Lolesio is first choice every game this year. Unless he has 4-5 really bad games in a row.
