Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Of course I've totally missed Giteau, who despite his infamous kicks against the Poms in 2010 and Scotland in 2009 is a reliable kicker and has had Jonny helping him at Toulon.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Watched the 2003 semi the other day and Flately was like a metronome knocking them over. Big part of the win was the ability to take 3 points whenever it was offer and just ramp up the pressure on the ABs. And in '99 Burke got us 24 points in the semi against SA and 25 against the French in...

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

Okay I've stayed up till 1am where I am waiting for the team. Wallabies Twitter said it would be announced at 10am AEST and still no movement. ANYONE?

Wallabies v. Springboks, 18th July 2015, Suncorp, Brisbane

So last article I read by Jim Tucker had Genia at 9 with Foley at 10, after most of the press saying it will be Phipps/Cooper. Anyone got anything more solid on who the halves will actually be?

    Reds 2016

So what is Hendrik Tui's status for next season? From 08/09 the Reds have had a series of great line-breaking backrowers (Houston, Higgers, Samo) but Schatz seems to have regressed since when he first came onto the scene in 2010 and is more of a linkman/grafter.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

No need to torpedo my squad with logic, but you're right. Guess Tomane/Speight are fighting it out for a spot, and Lealiifano will be very unlucky to miss out, but I think Gits will be picked. Alexander in for the fifth prop spot due to his ability to play both sides (against Uruguay and...

I'm posting this again because it got lost in the john mcgomery meltdown

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Instead of the optimum 23 for the RWC, which I don't think will be settled until post RC, I'm going for a 31-man squad, picking two of every position +1, either a hooker or halfback. So... 1/ Slipper, Sio 2/ Moore, TPN 3/ Kepu, Holmes 4/ Simmons, Dennis 5/ Skelton, Horwill 6/ Fardy, Higgers...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

What about 11. Tomane 14. Beale 15. Folau? Izzy dropping back to field the bombs and interchanging with Beale on attack and set plays.

Fairfax and News Corp are boycotting the RWC

This. ARU and IRB need to sort this out ASAP.

    Stormers v Brumbies Qualifier

Good win Brumbies. Tomane upping his Wallabies chances big time. But what's the go with TK? Haven't watched a whole lotta Brumbies games but is he out of form or what?

Yeo, Jim Tucker's article after Tahs v Reds was mentioned earlier but this is the quote.

Rugby League players who could have/could make the switch

GI still the one for me. At 13 or 15.

    Waratahs v Reds Rd 18 Sat 13th June 2015

26k apparently. Christ it's depressing watching the Reds play.

    The new Wallaby jersey

Doesn't look as bad when worn by someone, but an interesting choice of who is doing the modelling... Izzy the main man on Twitter but an Asics promo vid also featured Phipps, Foley and To'omua. Edit: Beaten twice by Tangawizi

Disappointed but not surprised. Hopefully his body holds up and he gets enough caps for the foreign player rule.

    RWC Squads

Burgess likely to make it into the 31-man squad? At least he has versatility of playing 12 and 6 - the latter of which I've heard he's been doing very well in for Bath.

    Reds 2016

If he stays I'd make Gill captain next year. He (and Horwill to a lesser extent) doing all the talking in the forwards' huddles. Slipper VC. Harsh on Slipper but he seems a bit too passive for me.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Higgers lucky to make it on the plane? Get real. He's a good in the lineout, and a genuine line-breaking backrower with leadership, mongrel, and x-factor, something the Wallabies need in spades.

    Reds 2015

Same, but I guess they wanted to keep the 10/12 combo from Brisbane City to give McIntyre some reassurance. Pity Pickle isn't fit as he would probably be better starting at 9.
