Round 3: Reds vs Chiefs, 6:45pm AEST - Saturday 9th of March @ Suncorp

Just fantastic work Reds. Doing it tough, doing it the hard way, back backing themselves all the way. Huge win.

What a penalty, they've been building to that for ages.

Gee this is awesome work from all the Reds. Starting in the pack, then the loosies, then wide to halt McKenzie

Round 3: Reds vs Chiefs, 6:45pm AEST - Saturday 9th of March @ Suncorp

He was also so crouched on his haunches he was almost arse on the ground. Dan is right though - head clash is a penalty the rest is mitigation away from a card.

Round 3: Reds vs Chiefs, 6:45pm AEST - Saturday 9th of March @ Suncorp

No but he's almost holding up and it's balanced by a performance by Vunivalu - looks like that bloke is actually enjoying a game of rugby. Another bloke I thought might find it tough when called on - Ryan. But he has also been holding his own. So far.

Round 3: Reds vs Chiefs, 6:45pm AEST - Saturday 9th of March @ Suncorp

Amongst other things this is the best 20min of rugby I've seen from Vunivalu. Edited: oops, I'm congratulating the guy, least I can do is spell his name.

    Queensland Reds 2024

You're kidding, right. This is afterall the Reds thread. After the Link thing? I'd rather front up with 14 than see that particular amigo wearing red. In blue or gold when he was good enough, maybe. Never in red.

Round 3: Reds vs Chiefs, 6:45pm AEST - Saturday 9th of March @ Suncorp

I'm less convinced - Front row seems a step down and has been working the pressure without that drop. Backline didn't quite star last week, I think it'll be improved with Campbell but from there less so.z OTOH I think the team organisation and game play will continue the upward trend, Les has...

    Australian Rugby / RA

Agreed - but clearly the states do not have their underling under effective control. I think it is nuts to think that Waugh is not a shrink fan. He voices non-committal but at the moment it means the same thing.

Round 2: Reds v Canes. Sunday.

Yep. Though his opposition was overextending and Ravai wasn't finding an easy bind - not that he was bothered by pulling down.

Round 2: Reds v Canes. Sunday.

Well done 'Canes - that was a tough game. Absolutely. Hugely proud of the effort the boys put in and man, there is so much to improve. There is plenty of upside. This is a team that is going places. Thanks reds!

Round 2: Reds v Canes. Sunday.

Why is there a scrum penalty when the Reds are going backwards but straight?
