and apologies firstly as maybe you copped my annoyance at some other posts regarding the Scots boys not worrying about their ATARs. I whole heartedly agree with you regarding the topic "the rugby program will get them into university" As yourself I selected the school for my sons on criteria...

That is so ignorant its ridiculous. I have a friend whose son is part of this Scots side, his son's education is the primary focus a together with having his son turn out a good person. This is the same parent that pulled his son out of club rugby one season a few years ago because his grades...

What absolute rubbish. I have been involved in junior RU and RL for many years and therefore know several boys over various GPS schools, esp in y12 this year. I am not affiliated with Scots at all (in fact a New parent) but several boys I speak to from multiple schools will tell you Scots play...

No standouts that I can remember, but the SGS coach rotated well and it was a great battle between the New and SGS forwards. SGS 2nds did struggle with the scrums at times

New were ordinary except for the last 15 mins. They are a much better team than that but just aren't getting it together. SGS had good structure and sent the ball to the right spots, a smart side. While they were the much better team (as were SBS last week) forward packs seems to have free reign...

All Newington teams affected by a virus running rampant through the school at the moment. Other schools have had similar situations in the past and you just have to deal with it. But it may explain some unexpexted scores

I think it was 53-19 (or something like that in the firsts) I think in the Scots Riverview encounter the forwards will play a pretty important role. This is where I think Scots will really dominate. SIC forwards struggled against New at times and their tight 3 gave away a few penalties. If...

Selection politics and bias, Gold Squads unfairness etc.

I agree Cranbrook are a good side, I have seen them and know a few of the boys, but if both teams are at full strength and take it like a comp game, it will be a drubbing with Scots a much better and larger side.

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2014

I agree, all a kid can do is give his best and realise sometimes someone may just have been a little better. Even if they made the side or not, if they want to succeed they should always be looking what can they do better not why is life unfair or not

It was definitely Declan Moore the #7 for NSW IIs

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2014

#7 was Moore, started at blindside but played openside in the second half Was heavily involved in at least 3 of the NSW IIs tries

Australian Schoolboys & National Championships 2014

A couple of smokies from second half of the final today are 7,8 and 23 from NSW II. The #7 was everywhere, the #8 made some good yards up the middle and the #23 together with Tom Wright showed up a few of the backs from the Is. (in the second half)

View did not dominate in the forwards, thats just another person looking through those view coloured glasses again. Really get the feeling that if the only way some people would be happy would be to have an all riverview Australian shoolboys There are some joke collections though, how Toby...

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2014

Views backs were far superior, especially in structure and shape to the New backs, it was Views ability to capitalise on crap defense that allowed them to make the breaks and their execution when doing so. While they were 10x better in than New I was still not that impressed. The odd moment...

    CAS Rugby 2014

I think there is a rule that prevents a second movement forward to score.

    NSW AAGPS Rugby 2014

View 25 beat New 10, in what I think was a pretty ordinary game. View were definitely not that impressive and won simply because New played like a headless rabble. The first 10 mins were not too bad with New showing some structure but then that fell apart. The big difference were at least View...

    CAS Rugby 2014

Waverley are not that young. They have some great talent coming though I agree in the U16s age group, but the majority of this team are yr 12 and turning 18. They have some decent footballers and while not all of them have a played alot of firsts until this year, they are more than capable. The...
