    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

I can't find any reference to Lolesio or Lynagh in my version either. Maybe Panda was asked to rein it in a bit by the editor.

    Wallabies 2024

I was thinking the same thing.
  3. KOB1987

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

Someone said that he and Gordon were, but the only ones I have seen confirmed in the media are Beale, Wilson & Smith.

    Wallabies 2024

Yes I since saw that. Looks all just like a big coincidence, although I’m scratching my head as to why a rugby player would take annual leave in the middle of rugby season.

    Wallabies 2024

I’m a bit confused by that as well, Ikitau is a 13 and so is Walton. It’s unlikely he’ll get a start and has probably just come in to fill the vacant squad spot. Schmidt probably defaulted to Foketi as a first port of call then went to Walton after giving it further consideration. Daugunu to...

Woollahra oval, yes. I think it’s that hybrid Astro/real turf whatever it’s called.

    Wallabies 2024

The article I read said that Beale was released to play because he wasn’t in line to play v Wales next week, Wright being preferred at #15. Based on that, the only thing that would make sense re Foketi is that someone has picked up an injury in camp, probably either Paisami or whoever is penned...

    Wallabies 2024

That’s kind of what I was getting at.

    Wallabies 2024

C9 reporting tis morning that Marky will be an the Olympic sevens team, and RA have also denied an early release request from the Roosters. I don't know if the latter was required to facilitate the former? Edit: it was apparently, but it means he can't play for the Roosters this year as they...

so unless people say AAA is currently the best THP in Australia it's crap?

    Waratahs 2025

Apologies, I thought you referring to my attitude towards it as a Tahs fan.
  14. KOB1987

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

There is certainly merit in starting TT. He may not be the fittest he's ever been but he will shore up the scrum and then when he's worn out reintroduce AAA to test rugby against the tired starters and then the second best options. They are going to be our 2 THP's with almost certainty and...

    Waratahs 2025

You missed my reference to strewth's 'I have heard' in the post above mine. However, these players can literally sit on their hands in this instance as they get paid until the end of next season and play club rugby if they wish. It would make sense that some do want to move to Sydney over...

I would say in most cases it would have been to help out during the relocation process. It's more than having a free bedroom, its about having a home to come to rather than a lonely hotel room.

    Australian Rugby / RA

I would certainly put my hand up for that to help out a relocating rugby player if I lived in Sydney now that I have a couple of empty bedrooms. How many Rebels players actually did that though?
  18. KOB1987

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

1 for Pollard. About 5 minutes as a late call up in the Argie game last year from memory (Edit: it was in Arg in 2022). It certainly counts but I’m not sure it’s vintage. I’m guessing he forgot to add the asterisk next to Flook when he rubbed Beale out.

    Waratahs 2025

We will find out in due course but you would think the Reds would be starting to get a bit tight on the salary cap. LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) & Leota must be high on the Tahs shopping list.

    Waratahs 2025

Similarly I have heard that all the Rebels players 'who flat out refused to sign with the Tahs' are sitting on their hands while the coaching arrangements are getting bedded down. At least a good few of them anyway. It would seem that those ones who are in the Wallabies squad have at least...
