To be fair, Kearns should've got the gig last time. Clyne didn't want someone who'd stand up to him so actively lobbied the States on a 'Anyone but Kearns' campaign

I'd do it for $150k It'd have to be in my spare time though, and I'd want a blazer with a badge on it.

That may be true and fair about the boys Doesn't seem like a particularly good or sensible way to run a pathway though.

    Kangaroos Vs Wallabies

It seems that you can watch it in NZ (or with a VPN perhaps) https://www.tvnz.co.nz/shows/the-story-of-rugby Or on Kayo https://kayosports.com.au/shows/show-the-story-of-rugby!16096/season-the-story-of-rugby!16097 Enjoy. PS: Just a clip from youtube.

    Kangaroos Vs Wallabies

To assist the convo, I would recommend the following 6-part series about rugby. It was on during the recent RWC and was jam-packed with detailed history of every aspect of rugby https://www.facebook.com/DHLRugby/videos/dhl-presents-the-story-of-rugby/477743013074497/ It's a compulsive...

I'd like to know the point at which 'playing for your State' became 'playing for your local franchise' It permeates down as well. I can say we have 16 year old shopping themselves around clubs/schools (or their parents at least) for the best offer that will get them best positioned on the...

The Greatest Game of All Time

Whatever you do, don't tell the Brumbies this... They're planning a life-size bronze of Folau Fainga'a as we speak

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

I don't think KB (Kurtley Beale) is the best player who's ever been, but by God, he's given us some great highlights. He's one of the few players knocking about where when he has the ball in his hand, you pause, anticipating maybe, a bit of magic. An entertainer. How many other players can we say that about...

I heard today that NSW might be lifting social distancing by end of June Reasons to be cheerful, part 3? If they go back to allowing modest gatherings of <500 then club rugby will be back (apart from the Marlins of course) and the Tahs will be back in business! :)

    Waratahs vs Chiefs - Super Rugby R 6 2020, Friday 6 March @ 7.15pm @ Wollongong

Poor old Hooper. Tries his guts out every week. I'm no fan of Cheika, but he would not have lost that game tonight. Taking fitness as one example, these guys were run off the park. Checks would've had them in better shape.

    Waratahs vs Chiefs - Super Rugby R 6 2020, Friday 6 March @ 7.15pm @ Wollongong

Agree with the above comments. Cruden was very classy. He was being modest as well. He'd have to be in the frame for that AB 10 jersey. There's no one else with a lock on it at present. Richie M played well today but I think Cruden played better and exercised more control Shout-out to...

    Waratahs vs Chiefs - Super Rugby R 6 2020, Friday 6 March @ 7.15pm @ Wollongong

Imagine what we'd be like if we DIDN'T have the pick of the players from Australia's biggest rugby nursery.

    Wallabies 2020

Larkham and Grey have been widely mocked, their records held up for ridicule. Their techniques have been viewed as laughable and ineffective by experts from all corners of the globe. Their records are shocking, awful even. Sometimes without any rational explanation. Seems totally reasonable...

    Reds v Sharks, Rnd 5 2020, Lang Park Sat 29 7:15 EDST

Newsflash: the Sharks charge up on D. Almost and often offside but nonetheless predictably Aussie coaches: Never mind about that, let's just play our own game.

Super Rugby Rnd 3: Rebels vs Waratahs

As has been pointed out here, some baffling behaviour by the Tahs Not least (for me) the decision not to compete on the Rebels lineout. After they had completed their third metre-eating rolling maul, we didn't think we should try and disrupt them or do something different? Cottrell was made...

    Waratahs 2020

Moeroa is a similar story. He was (as many a G&GR poster will attest) an absolute marvel playing for Newington. Metaphorically-speaking, I had his poster up on my bedroom wall. League has knocked him about, tried to turn him into a bash-and-barge merchant. However, you'd have to respect him...

    Waratahs 2020

The knock on Crichton is that while he has a decent running game, with footwork, he's not as electrifying as some (Cameron Murray), doesn't have the ball skills of others (Trbojevic) nor the versatility and work rate of a Boyd Cordner. Personally, I don't think he's got the size to be Union...

Super Rugby Rnd 3: Rebels vs Waratahs

Some great comments/analysis on this thread. As it stands, I'm going to choose to be positive. Penny is trying out some combinations. This will all be proven (in time) to have been prescient. Good stuff. ... (Plan B: The Rebels are even more shite - aim to win cripple fight) :)

Super Rugby Rnd 3: Rebels vs Waratahs

If you ever wondered about the perverse reward-messaging system that is NSW Rugby, just ponder on a player who has proved himself wholly unreliable as a defender, gets moved to the most complicated defensive position in rugby - and the player(s) who have proved themselves at the very least...
