Is that in regards to Vikings for the local juniors?? Would be fantastic to see Vikings put abit more into the junior side of development and see some of these junior players come through the junior ranks into 1st grade - instead of having the % of players being Marist, Eddies players... Think...

en_force_er - lol...I dont think that will ever be the case - but we could get in a position where we cant beat teams such as NZ, England, France, SA, Wales etc... Over the last 2-3 years you have seen the decline in the Wallabies team - winning by more luck or opposition not playing well more...

The issue is - if you were a 1st grade player and only getting X amount of money/petrol money to play in the SS - why wouldnt you look at options like Japan, Italy France - even comps such as Pro D2 in France which is the 2nd string comp will pay good money for players from over-seas...soon...

Something needs to be done with Australian rugby for it to survive at the top level - we need a much better and more structure development system and we NEED a National comp so plays 1. want to stay in the country and not go overseas and 2. Strengthen our development of players before moving...

In someways it could be a negative thing for the club - i.e players thinking they wont be able to make 1sts now due to the huge increase in Brumbies players....honestly though how much will these Brumbies players really play? Wonder if Vikings have imported any new talent...

Could numbers be increased at Easts due to players knowing they could have a better chance to play 1st grade next to other clubs? I think most clubs start full pre-season training on the 29th of Jan.

Hey mate I wont really go into that as I dont know for a fact about what went on but of course in the junior ranks there was always talk across the teams about different players and how they got to playing for different teams - if any of these rumours/chit chat was ever true - I dont 100% know...

Also it would stop a number of kids going to grammer, eddies, marist just so they can maybe make something of rugby - I know a number of kids who went to these schools due to the rugby...and they were vikings juniors and went onto play 1st xv for these schools and now play 1st grade/super rugby.
