    Brumbies v Reds rd1 SR2013

We can go with a 5:2 split, especially if Fainga'a is fit. Frisby, Lucas, Morahan & Harris all cover multiple positions. Shatz isn't match fit, neither is Horwill, plus you'd like a specialist blindside incase Quirk is off his game. So I agree with TOCC backrow combo

Trial: Reds vs Chiefs - Sunshine Coast QLD

I still don't understand where you are making this judgement from? Quirk has only played a handful of games for QLD, he has been injured. So I don't know how you can make that judgement considering you've only seen a handful of games from him at that level. Whilst you are talking up Ah Wong...

Trial: Reds vs Chiefs - Sunshine Coast QLD

Lucky to have his contract renewed? Really? You're saying this based on.....? You said that you still think he's up to Super 15 level, so why would you make a judgement that Ah Wong and Browning, who have played one TRIAL GAME are more deserving of a contract? Sorry but I find that statement...

Trial: Reds vs Chiefs - Sunshine Coast QLD

Quirk has been a dominant jumper at Premier Rugby level for a few years now. I know there is a massive step up, but he definatly is not slouch in the air. He will be used as the third jumper whenever he is on the field. I still have my concerns over Shatz as a jumper. He just doesn't seem...

Trial: Reds vs Chiefs - Sunshine Coast QLD

That would be close to our strongest team wouldn't it? Bring in Cooper,Fainga'a and Shipperely for Lance, Davies & Morahan and that would be it right now. Possibly Hanson for Fainga'a. Also, I always thought Horwill played on the tighthead side (no.5)?

    Qld Premier Rugby 2013

He played most of the season in reserve grade from memory. The students used Arvier, Browning, and Mitchell (?) in the backrow for most of the season.

    Reds 2013

They're paying $13 on SportsBet. So pretty good odds there. Crusaders (4.00), Chiefs (5.50), Stormers (7.00), Sharks (9.00), Brumbies (11.00), Highlanders (13.00), Reds (13.00), Waratahs (14.00) Some good odds there for the Sharks, Highlanders and Reds. Crusaders do not look like they have a...

    Reds 2013

Is Shatzie and Shipperely injured? I'm assuming they are only niggles because no news has come out about them.

    Reds 2013

I like to think we have a lot of wing depth that we don't need to convert a Premier Rugby flanker into one. However Ah Wong and Browning are two blokes I thought to be unlucky in missing out on initial EPS contracts. Unfortunate that Beau is injored though, hope he comes back strong, he is an...

I got the same word Jets, apparently he's putting a lot of pressure on guys in the contracted 35. So good that we have such depth even down to the club players.

    Reds 2013

Small section in the Courier Mail today saying that Shatz and Gill are fighting it out for the captaincy in the abscence of Genia and Horwill. Personally I would have thought Adam Wallace-Harrison would have been a better candidate.

    Reds 2013

No complaints with that team. Fainga'a/Hanson can go either way. If we started with Daley/Slipper, my bench would definatly have Anae and Holmes as the cover. Anae is better than Owen. Quirk and Samo is another toss up.

Is it the guy whose name starts with 'C' and ends with "urtis Browning"?

    Reds 2013

BLASPHEMY! Haha. I think he is a must, his talk and defensive organization is integral to the backlines defensive structure. But I can understand where you are coming from, we have so many quality backs when they are all fit, it will be hard to fit them in.

    Reds 2013

I would also respectfully disagree with that. All you have to look at is how both players performed at 10 this season. Lucas looked far more comfortable and is much more of a playmaker then Harris. Personally, I see Harris as an out-and-out 12. His running game suits it. Lucas is also better...

    Reds 2013

Along with Genia and Ioane, A.Fainga'a is among one of the few certainties each week IMO. He may not be a flashy running outside back, but fuck we would miss his defensive organization greatly. He is essentially an openside playing in the centers. It annoys me how a lot of people seem to write...

    Reds 2013

I can't see how people think Harris is good enough to start ahead of Tapuai and/or Fainga'a. Taps is shaping up to be a long-term member in the Wallabies 22, he was our best back this year before injury, and he is all round the best 12 we have. Fainga'a is a defensive rock and I really believe he...

    RWC 2015 Pools

Apparently Madagascar aren't a bad chance of qualifying ahead of Namibia. I was watching Total Rugby and I think they beat the Namibians in an earlier qualifier, meaning they get an easier route now.

    Lions Tour 2013

After the Spring Tour, I think the Lions team might look something like this. 1- Cian Healy (Ireland) 2- Dylan Hartely (England) 3- Dan Cole (England) 4- Richie Gray (Scotland) 5- Paul O'Connell (Ireland) 6- Stephen Ferris (Ireland) 7- Sam Warburton (Wales) 8- Sean O'Brien (Ireland) 9- Danny...
