It’s a big 6 - Ryan Smith, Creighton, Wilson, Faessler, O’Connor, and Flook - evenly split across forwards and backs. That’s huge for Brothers club. They could be mentally tired after a long disappointing Reds season and pre-season or they might make a huge difference to their Hospital Cup...

Going by my record YTD, 2 of these tipped teams will win and 2 will lose. I’m least confident with the Bankers and the Magpies. But all open games.

Brothers players in the Reds are used to losing so coming back to clubland won’t guarantee they win. Losing is a habit and the habits are being learned in the Reds! Do not discount Bond, Easts and even Uni.

Good to persevere with McDermott and Thomas. The latter only got half a game v Pilz on Saturday. Just not playing enough rugby…wonder will he be warming more benches in NZ or actually getting some games under his belt?

Huge win. Not sure if Uni changes in second half did them any favours. They didn’t look like scoring as Easts controlled territory. But how many rugby matches do you see 52 points in first half and 10 in the second?
