    Wallabies 2024

I agree he’s been good. I think he is a likely candidate for lock for the Wallabies. But it just seems odd to me for a tight forward with his experience that he is still going in high. Maybe there is a perfectly good reason and the coaching staff are happy with it - but seems to me he still...

I’ve always thought Salakaia-Loto could be anything. But he still hasn’t fixed his height info contact. If he fixed that I reckon he’d be devastating.

    Wallabies 2024

Hooper must by one of the most discussed players on the forum. I don’t really want to start another back and forwards on him and I certainly don’t want to knock the guy. But I’d assume he is very unlikely to be a Wallaby this year. If he proves me wrong, good luck to him.

    Wallabies 2024

Well he was out of form last year and has been tailoring his training this year to 7s. I’m not going to say he’s not an option but I would think guys like Wright or Gamble would be more likely.

I think he’s been okay rather than great. I am more coming at it from the angle of not moving Petaia from wing. I’ve always thought Petaia had all the attributes to be a great 13 but the reality is he has never looked as good there, apart from the off bright spot, as he has as a winger.

    Wallabies 2024

I dunno. Our top level picks are probably Frost, Holloway, Salalakai-Loto, Neville. Rodda was as probably better than all of them but hard to say where he is at. Next level is Smith, Hooper, Swain, Canham, Williams then you have guys like Uru, Hanigan and Lee-Warner who are more 6s at test...

    Queensland Reds 2024

I’d be tempted to start Creighton or Annan at 12 and move Paisami out 1 or just start Annan at 13 and leave the back 3 as is. I’d also bring Nonggorr back into the starting team. IMO JTA hasn’t been as good starting as he was off the bench whereas I don’t think we are getting as much from...

Waratahs v Crusaders, Friday 12th April, in Sydney

I give a fuck. That’s why I asked the question. If you don’t then scroll past. It’s not that much of an imposition really.

Waratahs v Crusaders, Friday 12th April, in Sydney

I thought the commentators said that the shot clock had 8 seconds longer than the game clock. But what you’ve written makes a lot of sense and I’m sure Berry confirmed there were two seconds left. I thought he was confirming when the kick went over but maybe he was just confirming in terms of...

Last night should’ve been pretty good for his confidence.

I think Heaven has been pretty decent most weeks. Not a world beater by any stretch - but for a guy who started as the fourth string he’s been pretty solid. From what I’ve seen his throwing has been pretty accurate which, in itself, is something which has been a real issue for our hookers.

The goal doesn’t count. Which wouldn’t have mattered - the Crusaders would’ve won by 1

It’s still a missed opportunity though, right. I’m more asking out of interest than anything. But at the end of the day if the kicker was more aware Crusaders win the game. I get that 100 other small moments can be just as important even if they are harder to isolate and shine the spotlight on...

Waratahs v Crusaders, Friday 12th April, in Sydney

Well he told him to use the shot clock on the scoreboard and the commentators mentioned that the time on the shot clock was longer than what was left in the game. From what I heard at no point did he hurry the kicker up - just made him aware that they were working off the scoreboard tiAnd when...

Question for everyone - if the Crusaders kicker had just let the shot clock run out, would the game have been over and the Crusaders won?

Round 8: Moana Pasifika v Qld Friday April 12

Agree Cormac has been pretty solid. But I like that we have a bit more experience on the bench with Hodgman and Blyth there. Hopefully Blyth is chomping at the bit and adds some real grunt - although he can be prone to lapses in discipline so hopefully we get the impact without the downside.

Don’t disagree - but just meant that Coleman plucking this guy in wasn’t really a big failing of itself given his options were probably pretty limited. I have subsequently realised I misread Marcel’s post anyway and missed the joke. So I am countering a point that wasn’t actually being made...

The have 6-7 front row injuries. Last week there was a lengthy debate about throwing Barrett into the cauldron instead of a Shute Shield player with more experience. Yea, the bar is very low but I think it’s one thing Coleman could be cut some slack on.

I believe Fa’agase has one more game suspension. Haven’t heard an update on Hodgman.

I assume that they are unlikely to be able to retain Sauaso, which is an enormous shame.
