Totally agree. The intercept try right or wrong was scored with the referee with his back to the Joeys defensive line, the first joeys player he saw was the 8 in the view attacking line. Even the most one eyed joeys supporters have recognised that their last try came with a huge knock on and a...

What are the metrics for ranking. After the clear void between gps and cas demonstrated in the schools championship and the GPS 16's also won their fixtures, the huge number of AAGPS players that made Aust schools, and just 1 cas player making barbarians, how does Knox rate ahead of the...

My understanding of focus has nothing to do with rowing scholarships, or cherry picking students. Focus relates to how a school invests its resources into its existing cohort. I've had plenty of rugby loving mates boys go through Shore, and yes the school does have a focus on being successful in...

I can only assume that their focus on rowing is the obvious exception to that total position. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

MR, I have to agree with you in this. I have a number of mates with boys who have been at, or are still at Shore, and their frustration with the not just the lack of support that rugby gets, but in many cases the actual blocking or discouragement of pre season preparation. When you witness...

If Riverview take confidence from their last 50 minutes against Scots, they could make it very interesting. I think thy are a side that has not played anywhere near their best yet. Either way it should be a great game of rugby. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was of the understanding that you cannot play opens rugby as an eligible u15 player. It is against the ARU policy and also against common sense to take u 15 boys into the 3rds. I've seen lots of 16's go up to 1sts or 2nds, but never to the 3rds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I would say that Wright moving to 13 is for a couple of reasons. The main one is that Eddie King ( the regular 13 ) is now out for the year with a broken jaw, and secondly it does serve the purpose of getting Wright into space more easily. I agree they wouldn't put Wright there to specifically...

I was told there are two games to be played, and the touring school are playing Riverviews 3rds and 4ths. Riverview would not play their 1sts and 2nds 48 hrs before a GPS round. No school would. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The 1sts and 2nds boys won't play that game. I was told the side will most likely be a mix of 3rd xv and 16's, which is what they've done in the past with mid week touring teams. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    CAS Rugby 2015

Diamond, Chapman , Lawson could get a run in Combined States? Also Joe Williams would have to be considered given he was NSW II in 2014? Will Comb States be announced in the next day or so?

That's a strange call on McGregor re experience. I've done some asking around and this is the status of his experience. He played 2 years in the NSW U16's and captained the side in 2013. This is his 2nd year at the Nationals , in 2014 he was vice-captain of NSW 2 as a yr11 student, and this year...

    CAS Rugby 2015

To be fair to CAS, they came up against what looks like an incredible GPS team. The forwards were huge, good work rate, powerful, and the way they recycled and retained possession for multiple phases was a real credit to the piggies. The backs just played the game at a pace that CAS couldn't go...

I do agree with gps_pilfs. Riverview will be a different team when they get Hancock, Fenn and Gherig all on the park. They are all very strong ball runners and will give the View backs the space they haven't had yet. I don't think they are overly worried about the Joeys result, but they are...

I'm pretty sure its appointed on the basis of the schools placing in the previous year. The overrider is when a schools coach has been appointed to NSW coaching positions or higher. So last year, Scots finished first and Riverview 2nd, and thats how those positions in GPS 1's and 2's have been...

Yes but strangely Morrison isn't a 7, Pietsch is playing at 6 and has beside his name, so that doesn't make it any clearer to me. Also is the asterix indicating injured?
