Player movements for Shute Shield 2014

Only slightly. It's the 1s, 2s and 3s halfbacks plus the 1st Colts halfback have all left.

Admire your tongue in cheek response. My issue though is that Cheika talks about the importance of a strong club competition, yet he's using his considerable influence to contradict what he says publicly. And perhaps even more importantly, shouldn't he just be concentrating on getting the Tahs...

Player movements for Shute Shield 2014

The snouts have been chirping again over the weekend. Word is Norths have lost 4 halfbacks for next year. These guys played 1s and 2s and 1s and 2s Colts and have all left.

Did some research on this to confirm. I actually spoke to the player's manager. He confirmed there was NO league deal before the Tahs chat. The player in question actually prefers rugby over our toothless counterparts, however he does not like Randwick and wished to play for the club he began...

Player movements for Shute Shield 2014

Correct, it was Josh yes. I was referring to Luke. Mail getting stronger that atleast one Rats forward will be making the trek to Coogee with Donlan.....................

Don't worry Macca, Michael Cheika is doing his fair share of recruiting for Randwick these days anyway. The snouts tell me that a current Australian Schools player was offered a Tahs contract to be in a new U20 Super Rugby Comp. The player asked can he go back to his home club after Super 20s...

Player movements for Shute Shield 2014

More rumours coming out from the snouts north of the twin pilons. They can't afford to pay for ground hire of North Sydney Oval and are trying to move to Macquarie Uni.

Horwitz will be the 10 won't he?

Player movements for Shute Shield 2014

Not sure about being promised 1st grade, but h's definitely going. Rumours two prominent Rats forwards will follow him too. Also, Scott Podmore rumoured to have had a MASSIVE falling out with Scott Fava at Norths and is heading back to his roots in the western suburbs, albeit not Parra, but...

Chiefs have gone to market through the Player Management agencies looking for a quick winger with goal kicking ability. He ticks both those boxes.

    Shute Shield 2014

Back to the thread name. I'm betting they'll keep it at 18 rounds starting April 5. It should go to Top 5 finals series, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they keep it at Top 8. For some reason the ABC can only film 18 rounds so rather than playing 22 rounds and having the first 4 not...

    Rebels 2014

Not bad. Lopeti is an interesting proposition. He can play when he wants to. But for the most part is a train wreck. I'd have 4- Neville 5- S. Timani (watch this space) 6- Jones 7- Fuglistaller 8- Higginbotham I think from memory they have signed Toby Smith from NZ and Tom Sexton from...

I'd back Fuglistaller over the other 2. I don't think Mr McGahan sees Jones as a lock tbh. Something about his scrummaging......................

I don't either. Plus I would assume Jason Woodward has the 15 locked away. I also believe he's Australian eligible. Back to the 7's though, is Fugistaller back for 2014?

    Rebels 2014

Neville has a massive motor and how should I say it? Isn't as far up himself as Pyle is. And tbh, Pyle's body position is not exactly beyong reproach either there mate. We'll see on Reid and Fainga'a. But my point being that can they step up to Super Rugby level? I hope they do, jury is out at...

Thanks for the insight. Thought it was mentioned in my original post. Jamie Joseph is also one who may be heading for the door. They have lost a LOT of good southern men for next year. Must be a reason why

hahahaha. You got me on the spell check there DBDR. Been a long day. His defence at Super level would be an issue. He's been isolated by opposing teams there a few times in ITM this year. Even been defending out on wing at times, a la QC (Quade Cooper). Could be very risky.
