Wales vs Australia, 5 November 2016, (1:30am 6 November AEDT) @ Millenium Stadium

    I hate to be a pedant but; Ala'alatoa = "Ala-ala-toa"

We need to cash in here with a couple more tries, because Joubert is going to balance the ledger penalty-wise in the second half

Wallabies piercing the Welsh defensive line at will it seems. Listening to Jiffy incessantly heap praise on the Wallabies is icing on the cake.

That's two try-scoring chances blown: the Folau-Kuridrani break, and the DHP first-phase break just then. Need to be more clinical here especially with the man advantage. I hope they don't rue those chances in the end.

Taking time out from my Cold War historiography essay writing to watch my first complete viewing of a Wallabies match this year. Wallabies attack is looking slick, a lot of slick passing and interplay, with variation. Hopefully they keep the Welsh under the pump.

Why does Ian Prior get overlooked in the scrumhalf discussions? Seems to have the passing and kicking skillset essential for test rugby, and that isn't to say his running game is nonexistent either. Seems odd that a guy with little to no Super experience has one breakout season in the NRC and...

Isa Naisarani of Brisbane City has apparently been snapped up. Fits the mould of bullocking eighthman, with the right athletic attributes to fill the vertically challenged void in the Force backrow Edit Source:

EOYT 2016 - Possibles, probables and general banter

Gagger on the pod made mention of a rumour that Cheika doesn't rate Holloway's physicality if I recall

    Wallabies v Springboks - Suncorp, Brisbane, 10th September 2016

Australian rugby must have such poor depth if selecting Timani at 8 is looming as a realistic option. In time I'd hope his long term position was at 6, but it is a massive risk to play him at 8 and control the ball at the back of the scrum when he has played lock all year. Not to mention he...

NRC Rnd 1: Perth Spirit v Melbourne Rising

The start of a long-term, fruitful midfield combination? Hopefully I can get some time free to pop by for a squiz

    Western Force 2017

After looking over London Irish's fortunes under Brian Smith (notably his first stint before his appointment as England attack coach), I'm starting to warm to the idea of him taking the reigns. Like McKenzie, and to some extent Cheika, he's served his apprenticeship overseas and has undertaken...

With the inclusion of Alalalatoa, Robertson alongside our mainstays, I take it Ala'alatoa is being looked as a tighthead, given three of the props are recognisable looseheads. Hope he gets a run there. Ruan Smith is next in line in the pecking order for Australian tightheads you'd have to...

Is it a foregone conclusion that Matt O'Connor is heading West? If so, it doesn't bode well for the Force

Forcefan, it is possible to laud Hooper's strengths (i.e. his ball carrying, tackling) while still having a preference for an on-the-ball 7. The prominence of the Pooper, and especially the accomodation of a 'non-traditional' openside like Hooper highlights the dearth of ball carriers in...

Add Matt Phillip, and shift RHP to blindside or no. 8 and we are getting somewhere pack-wise. It boils down to the potential coaching structures now
