What are the thoughts as to the top 4 - 8 weeks out from finals. As SX pointed out earlier in the week the two games to watch in terms of finals aspirations this week are: Easts v Bond and Uni v Souths.

By my reconning of 10 wins to make finals - Uni (3 wins & a draw) need to win 6 or 7 of their last 7 games. Mind you a loss for Souths would put the Magpies under some pressure.

Yes Wests have conceded 12 tries in last two weeks (6 each to Bros & Easts) and all other opponents(except Norths) this year have scored 4 tries against them. They will need to lift their defensive efforts if they are going to go back to back.

Great game at Sylvan Road today - pity about the result. It was a 6 tries each 34-38 , two competition points loss for the Bulldogs. Easts just wouldn’t go away and probably deserved the win given the Bulldogs had two long range tries.
