Sheesh, would have thought held up. But ref is right there looking through the pile of bodies between him and the ball, so must have a pretty good set of eyes on it

“Jock was nowhere near his best on the weekend, and he was crook late in the week and he was probably a bit flat on game day. We still rate him, he’s certainly still in the reckoning for Wales.” Quite a mix of content in that one paragraph. Is he still sick? Or is he better, but dropped this...

Lynagh doesn't come up very often in any future 10 discussion. Is he playing much in matches, or just training? I saw that he was in the Reds dev squad, but I missed the games so have no idea how he went. Is he just not in the picture? (I am not talking about him being 10 now btw, I'm just...

Not when they are standing in the backline though, please.

A lot of "interference" lines being run in this autumn series tbh.

I didn't think he was terrible. That would have been a very difficult match for any australian in the back three to shine.

And The Other Autumn Internationals '22

I'm gonna go well against the grain here... If one illegally plonks oneself down around the back of the ruck "accidently" stopping the attacking team from any possibility of a legal cleanout (because the referees will absolutely not referee this shit currently), then one deserves a yellow card...

fuck... give me an afternoon to digest that. thanks for the effort. "if you look just at the 32 years you've nominated, we're 55% win against Tier 1 sides. Not bad" <-- that's actually my point right there. Which other tier 1 nations for 30 years had a better record than that? New Zealand...

The bold bit is not correct. They absolutely are still talking at the referee. Could hear it through this telecast with constant "offside", "off their feet" etc being yelled at the referee. Even last match, White was warned by Jaco. Twice. Fixing that perception is probably going to take...

The most frustrating part of the match... 2 minutes to play and wallabies have to score twice to win the match and have just been awarded a penalty in an attacking position. The wallabies then proceed to waste as much time as they possibly can. FFS Italy were positioned for the scrum long...

Two minutes from the end and you need to score twice to win. Do you hurry up and force the other team into rushing their defence or scrum and give yourselves a chance to score twice? Or waste all (and it was ALL!) of the time and risk a situation where you need heoics from a young individual...

I disagree. Gordon's sin bin was clearly a "fugget, I didn't wanna play today anyway". Only time i've seen worse is when Horwill clearly demonstrated how much he didn't wanna play under Graham. Gordon was not alone today.

It's definitely not the coach. 100% on the players. Penalties were either lazy, or insanely stupid. Extremely weak in the tackles - giving metres after first contact ensuring our line was disjointed. Slow in support and ball watching.when in attack.

    Refereeing decisions

If there was no TMO, the host broadcaster would have had no issue replaying that (and other decisions) because the decision had been made by the referee. That's my issue with having a TMO. It absolutely brings the broadcaster into play and power. There's no question that they have their own...

    Refereeing decisions

Last I will say on it as well. The video footage is clear and supports my statement. Jaco states that "ruck was inside" in response to the australian players, with no time for anyone to review anything - he made the call himself (it's about 7 seconds after the ball is kicked). So he's using...

    Refereeing decisions

The ball crossed the plane of the 22 before he landed. His feet and body went over the 22 when he landed. His feet were still over the line of the 22 when he was tackled and went to ground. His feet were still over the line when he placed the ball back Carried back.
