The Churchie starting 7 is def a Stoddard, one of many to go through the school. He came off at half time last sat with an injury I think and was replaced by a boy in year 10. (One of a few that are likely to play this year) 12 is new this year I think

I suspect BBC have improved their 15s mainly by chequebook, as there are few new faces running round. They are better than they have been in recent years. The benefit of them playin in the Bs is also that it has kept some boys in the game.. you will find it hard to keep boys involved if they Re...

Both. BBC has not put enough work and time into their younger years whilst throwing everything at the top end. Their current 15As played most other schools Bs for a couple of years after having cricket scores put on them. For a school their size they should also have more depth of teams. Some...

Churchie win also came off a strong performance across the grounds. I think every A team got up and there was hardly a loss in the other teams with the exception of the 2nds and the 14Cs

I could be wrong but I am pretty sure you can play 2nds in year 11 if you are the older half of the cohort. So for example you could be in the 2nds in year 11 and then 1sts in year 12. If you are in the 16s you can only play up in the 1sts not in the seconds.

Unfortunately looks like the games are off due to the continuing covid outbreak in Syd. No word yet if they will be rescheduled...

Don't think any of the ACGS new boys are wingers...10 and 13 maybe

Definitely has it in for BBC (though last year or two it was Churchie in the cross hairs) I thought for a while there BBC had pulled back on the scholarships... Which is why their younger years were so woeful and wanting to play Bs and not As.. I think a look at IGS would be even more interesting

Think Churchie will be stronger this year.. but have 2022 in their sights rather than 2021

Plenty of info on the Reds site re new pathways competitions this year. A new U15 comp culminating in a Qld v NSW game plus the u16 tournament looks set to be played in Qld at Nudgee. Good to see some rep opportunities coming through in rugby again

Believe the Churchie coach has gone to a role at the Reds. Think Churchie has their eye on 2022 as a big year.

There were some teams selected and games played in the first week of the sep school holidays. 2 days training in their teams then a day where they all played each other. There was a U15 group and a U 16 group

Churchie U15 have gone undefeated this year too I think bar a loss in a trial game. Would have been good to see them play NC to see how they stack up

The Churchie Bshs game was 34-17... It appears state high weren't using the Matchday app to score... If you look through the results in all the age groups you will see lots of nil scores. They just didn't score in real time using the app

Surprise package in the 16s would be Churc hie who have been flat out winning a chook raffle on recent years but as far as I can see are undefeated this year. The shift of many players in other schools up to firsts has undoubtedly helped but they are certainly big improvers. Also wouldn't put...

It is an odd year as BGS and IGS and BSHS all have at least two teams in the years above and below. BGS are still not fielding an A team electing to only play Bs and BBC whilst a step up this year from last are still significantly below the rest of the comp..in contrast NC Terrace TGS and ACGS...

IGS has been recruiting heavily in this age group. Not many in that team are full fee paying. Not sure why they can't field a B team..
