    Round 6: Reds v Brumbies

Both sides pretty much as expected, and probably the strongest they can put on the field right now. Should be a very tight game with some top quality rugby being played.

    Round 6: Reds v Brumbies

Yeah, 7 day turnaround compared with the Brumbies 8 days between games. My error, but still less time to prepare for the Reds.

Round Six: Waratahs v Rebels Friday March 29, 7:35 pm SFS

Top four Hawko? I reckon both the Hurricanes and Chiefs are odds on to make it. Which of the Reds and Brumbies do you see either of the Tahs or Rebels overtaking? I think the top four ship has already sailed for these two sides.

Wright is certainly very confident in the way he plays, but he has a hell of a lot of ability to go with it too.

    Wallabies 2024

Samu K just should not have been in the side last year, despite the lack of other top performers in the 12 spot. It did his reputation as much harm as he did to the Wallabies with his poor performances. My real concern about SK is that even if he regains his form, his style of play maybe isn't...

Australian Super Rugby Team of the Week 2024

Slim, I would encourage you and any others here to regularly have a dose of Nutta's wisdom, history lessons and humour on the front page - every Tuesday. Everything I think I know about the workings of a scrum, especially in the front row, I've gleaned from Nutta. He is a legend, still playing...

    Round 6: Reds v Brumbies

Reds with a 6 day turnaround and a trip back from Perth, but having the home ground advantage. Pretty much an even playing field, so probably a close result. Brumbies hit a purple patch of form last week, but no guarantee it will now continue week to week. Until we see a sustained period of high...

I'm being too harsh. Thanks TSR.

    Round 5 : Force v Reds - Perth

Still more important to be in good form towards the end of the season TSR, both from the SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) competition and for Wallaby selection points of view. Too early to be making judgements just yet.

Australian Super Rugby Team of the Week 2024

Well, as you're asking, yes. There is no legitimate grounds for counting selections if all of the alternatives haven't been considered. It's bad enough that those of us who do watch all the games involving Aussie teams will still watch through our own biases, but to purport to select a TOTW...

Australian Super Rugby Team of the Week 2024

Tomikin, I think there might be a few posters who don't watch the full games, live or on replay, but just catch up with the minis. If I'm right, I suspect some of them simply copy and paste one of the prior posts and make perhaps two or three changes to bring some of their favourites into the...

    Under-20 Competitions including Oceania & World U20s

Highlights of the Brumbies Academy/Rebels Academy game yesterday. Some very good tries scored in the game and encouraging to see the Brumbies favourite move (the maul ha ha!) still going strong. Actually, the Brumbies U19s maul last year was practically unstoppable...

    Wallabies 2024

Always was my criticism of Noah too, but I have to say he was very impressive in the game on the weekend. On form overall, though I'd still stick with Gordon at least for the first test.

    Wallabies 2024

This is precisely why I think he should stick with Carter Gordon. Put Carter in a backline comprising (say) Toole, Paisami, Ikitau, Kellaway, Wright and see how creative he can be. Never thought I'd say it, but Donaldson is also looking a lot better over at the Force.

    Round 6: Reds v Brumbies

? Reimer played off the bench against MP (Moana Pasifika). Even allowing for his pilfering ability, I think the starting backrow is settled with any of Valetini, Hooper, Brown and Cale.

    Round 5 : Force v Reds - Perth

Force have been winning the breakdown by flooding the ruck and pushing over the ball. Three or four turnovers so far against nil for the Reds pilferer (I think). Despite the current score, I am expecting the Reds to get up, but more than three scores behind is a bit of a hill to climb.

Round 5: Brumbies v Moana Pasifika. Fri 7.35PM AEDT @ GIO Stadium

^^^^^^ Drewprint, Billy Pollard is going good and it's pleasing to see he's putting a bit more height into his lineout throwing. Not so many being won by the opposition at 2nd jumper lately. Also great to see Cale jumping there for the Brumbies. He seems to be a top notch lineout operator. It...

That's a big call Wamb. CC clearly has a lot of skills and potential, but would it be a bit early this year?

Round 5: Brumbies v Moana Pasifika. Fri 7.35PM AEDT @ GIO Stadium

As I said, no-one played poorly. Sapsford, Pollard and the others not mentioned all had good games and it all came together in clearly the Brumbies best outing this year. Next week should be a cracker but at home and in top form, the Reds must be favourites to win.
