NZ & MP (Moana Pasifika) 2022 Super Rugby Pacific Squads

To me he's a bit on the small side to play 12 from an AB point of view - he could get away with it at Super - but i'd rather he play a position in Super that they see him playing at test level.

NZ & MP (Moana Pasifika) 2022 Super Rugby Pacific Squads

RTS (Roger Tuivasa-Sheck) to play midfield for the Blues. I have doubts whether that is his best spot but time will tell - of the two midfield options I think he could better suited to 13 than 12 (think Perese).

Northern Tours 2021 - NZ, SA, etc

Good summary. it's not just the results - it's the way they are playing - a flawed approach to the game (both in attack and defence) that predictably gets exposed.

Northern Tours 2021 - NZ, SA, etc

The defence showed a lot of ticker in terms of scramble and volume of tackles but to me the AB defensive system is completely broken. The ABs are a very passive defence. Their defence doesn't force errors or kicks and it doesn't generate enough turnovers if a team is not chancing their arm...

Northern Tours 2021 - NZ, SA, etc

Some great bench impact in this game from the ABs. Interesting that Mo'unga came on at 15 - I would rather see Mo'unga shift to 15 late in games (either from 10 as starter or from the bench) than have DMac on the bench and coming on at 15. By the end of this tour I think Vaai will be have put a...

    TRC2021 - All Blacks v Springboks, Oct 2, 2021

The forward packs for the 2011 RWC and 2015 RWC AB teams are in a different stratosphere to the forward pack we have seen the last two tests. The depth of the 2015 ABs was insane - i'd suggest every bench forward from the 2015 RWC final would start in the AB pack we've seen the last 2 games...

    TRC2021 - All Blacks v Springboks, Oct 2, 2021

What a great game with a surprisingly good atmosphere. Boks deserved winners. ABs once again struggle to adapt to Boks. The whole forward pack aside from Savea (and to some extend Scott Barrett) was really poor. Samisoni needs to start at hooker. Really not a fan of the midfield either. Need...

    TRC2021 - Wallabies v Pumas @ Townsville 25/09

It must be remembered Wilson is still just a baby when it comes to test match forwards. 21 years old. Just needs a bit more seasoning.

Yep that looks the strongest 23 available to play the Boks specifically. Bring it!

    Rugby Championship 2021

    1. Completely agree re: ball carrying and power. The ABs really suffered on the weekend when Samisoni went off. The forward pack needs a balance of power and grafters - something they didn't have in 2019. I'd be looking to get more and more minutes into Samisoni and Aumua. 2. Whilst Scott...

    TRC2021 - All Blacks v Springboks @ Townsville 25/09

I expect an intense first 40 minutes. Boks have apologised to the nation for their performance and openly said worst performance since 2018. Surely they will fire up. If ABs can weather the storm they should be able to really damage the Boks ala Wallabies-Boks 2. However, if Boks disrupt the...

    Rugby Championship 2021

Happy with that. Beauden, Rieko and Jordie were the standout backs I thought. The whole forward pack seemed to go well. Aumua's direct ball running is very useful as it allows others (say an Akira) to play in the wide channels. Lomax was far better off the bench than Ta'avao has been this...

RC - Wallabies vs Springboks, Gold Coast Sunday 12 September 8:05 PM

Well done Wallabies. Far better individual performances across the board than last week. Cooper and Kerevi were sublime. I'm sure for Wallaby fans it was great to have an experienced 9-10-12 axis in the second half once White came on. JOC (James O'Connor) an option at 15 perhaps? Banks underwhelming again...

Bledisloe III at Perth, 5/09/21 - 4pm AEST

Koroibete and Ikitau both missed Akira before Noah. As Derpus mentions, Akira fakes a flick pass dummy which has Noah caught in two minds and ultimately in no man's land - it wasn't a case of Noah not wanting to put the body on the line.

Yep. Cameron Clark comes to mind an example of this. He was even faster than Ioane over long distances (ran him down Blues v Tahs at Brookvale) but unless he got put into situations where he could use his straight line speed it wasn't that impactful in XVs.

Bledisloe III at Perth, 5/09/21 - 4pm AEST

I usually try and find the positives in Wallaby performances but that was shit. Defensively Wallabies looked up for it early but that fell away - probably due to the score board. The intent to offload was good. The execution left a lot to be desired. Kerevi was good in his first test in two...

Bledisloe III at Perth, 5/09/21 - 4pm AEST

Instead of playing one man short in the starting like the last test in Perth when Scott Barrett got red carded - this time the ABs have chosen to play one man down on the bench with the selection of Bridge.....

Bledisloe #1 New Zealand vs Australia, August 7 2021

Frizell I agree with. Coles nope - a player that you hate if in the opposition but you like if on your own team - ABs missed him a lot on the weekend as he is still the best hooker in the country.

I think they re-did the surface recently. Looks to be going well.

Since Rennie and Foster have taken over it seems both teams get on a lot better.
