    Reds v Brumbies - Take 1

Yeah but that was against the Force. We have real opposition to plan against.

    Reds v Brumbies - Take 1

I can’t work out what is holding him back from the gold jersey - he’s like Kellaway. Just seems to never make mistakes, makes far more metres with ball in hand than he has any rights to, has no observable weaknesses and is always in exactly the right place at the right time.

    Reds v Brumbies - Take 1

Yup, I get the desire to be a head coach but I would’ve thought the opportunity to spend 9 months as Eddie’s assistant through to the WC, learn everything he could and then go land a similar role after the WC might have been a better option. His CV would certainly be more impressive if we...

    SR2023 - NZ Derbies & v Drua/ Moana

Bugger. Thought the Canes might actually pull that out of the bag. TBF though - that ridiculous try with the very questionable grounding was...not a try. I hoped it would be awarded because fuck the Blues, but I’d be pissed off if that had been given against a team I was cheering for...

    SR2023 - NZ Derbies & v Drua/ Moana

Yeah this Drua team are shit hot. Mick Byrne is making a huge difference to their consistency, discipline and professionalism. That was a ridiculously entertaining game, Drua are going to take some big scalps this year. Having them and Moana Pasifika is way better than all of the Saffers.

    Brumbies 2023

Last I heard it was a broken foot - no details beyond that, but that’s more than shitty. If it’s just a broken bone, that might leave enough time for him to get back on field for the last month and be available for the test matches to try and get into the RWC squad. He’s the next Scott Fardy

    Reds v Brumbies - Take 1

I think this trolling session is going well, but I need to sleep on our table position and think of some new material. Tomikin, Brumby Runner - pad up. Rodha- you’re still on radio duty.

    Reds v Brumbies - Take 1

I want to make it clear - I am not someone who attends Summernats. Sadly the only fireworks available these days are political scandals and defamation trials. Elon might have a good time though

    Reds v Brumbies - Take 1

To go from a journeyman QLD player to a Wallaby?

    Reds v Brumbies - Take 1

If QLD produces all this talent, why can’t you retain any of it? Why do they need to come to a tiny, frozen shithole of a city to get better?

    Force 2023

At what point are the Force going to consider signing Jake White to some kind of role? A 50/50 blend of on field actual coaching, giving Cron and the other coaches advice, and more of a director of rugby type role. I think a lot of people forget just how much of an impact he had on the...

    Reds v Brumbies - Take 1

Said it much better than me - the talent ID and development of players is what I meant. Brumbies didn’t sign 4 Wallaby hookers. 2 were U20 stars, sure, but they chose the Brumbies for a reason. The Lonergans are Canberra boys anyway, so let’s exclude them from this. Fainga'a was working on a...

    Wallabies 2023

At risk of bias accusations, in that model Swain would be 5, and Samu 19. Swain is a beast in the maul and other than his brain fart against England last year (which really shouldn’t have happened as the Pom should have been carded for direct contact to the face), his discipline has generally...

    Wallabies 2023

I’d suggest reading those articles Nick Bishop posted, and re-watching the games against the Tahs and Blues. He was chasing down some of the fastest Blues’ backs after a break around 70mins, and at one point he was the only Brumby fast enough to chase after a kick for the corner and put pressure...

    Reds v Brumbies - Take 1

Maybe you could develop your own coaching pathways and players, so that when you sign those players and coach them well, they all become Wallabies capped despite being in the same position in the same team?! Lord Laurie must really know his shit - Fainga'a, McInerney, Lonergan and Pollard all...

    Wallabies 2023

Anything possible should be done immediately to make sure he stays forever in Aus. He is an absolute freak. I wasn’t on board with him playing at 6 initially but I’m now shovelling coal into the furnace on this idea. His workrate, speed and athleticism are absurd from someone that big, and if...

    Wallabies 2023

The last thing he should be trying to coach is tactical kicking. Shooting for the posts yes, but dear god, nothing more. He had a unique ability to kick it all of about 17 metres, directly into the arms of the most dangerous broken field runners on the field, none of whom were wearing gold.

    Wallabies 2023

Time will tell of course, but as mentioned his teams tend to have an immediate boost for the first few years, and as they’re going to include a Bledisloe each year, a RWC which he is the most successful coach in history at, and then a Lions series, and then a home RWC all within 5 years, I’m...

    Wallabies 2023

Being a bit more serious, I reckon our best chance of winning the Bled and the WC this year is to develop a fetish about defence. When Jason Robinson skinned Latham on the wing in the the Lions opener, when we were at our peak, the commentators weren’t raving about our try scoring, it was ‘the...
