    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

The bloke has history on his side and proven performance at this level. Carter has neither……..yet. Quade is coming of a major injury with a shortened recovery period due to the timing of this RWC. He was our best option for a lot of reasons. If performance was really a deciding factor then both...

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

You would have Lonergen over Tate just for his goal kicking alone. If you want youth, there it is. But we still would not have a back up 10. I’d take Lolesio over Foley or JOC (James O'Connor) but QC (Quade Cooper) ahead of all of them.

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

Apparently Kerevi has been practising his goal kicking? He is still not an accomplished kicker at this level. Test rugby. First pick is your starting TH. Second is a toss up between another TH and a goal kicker. The game has not changed that much.

And another more experienced 10 option to help carry the load. Carter stays.

    France v Wallabies (RWC Warm-up), 28/8 1.45AM AEST

You think it makes sense having one 10 in the squad and that this 10 is a young bloke unproven at test level? Quade would have hit most of those goals and have provided better direction. I like Carter but he is just a kid in terms of test footy and should not be thrust into this role with no...

Thats how it looks. We are on the wrong curve. Hope to be proven wrong

It’s not only Carters kicking that is not up to scratch. He is a rookie. Of course he should be there in the squad but so should an old hand that can kick and step in when Carter is having an off day or injured. Beg QC (Quade Cooper) to come back Jones. You know it makes sense………

6-2 a massive gamble with half that backline unlikely to go 80. Big night for Donaldson.

    Wallabies 2023

It’s part of Eddie’s job to caress the press in the direction he wants them to go. Dropping his shit doesn’t help anyone. He could deflect and say what he wants to get across. He is going to have to answer or respond to the tough questions, like all coaches/managers.

All legitimate questions and ones that have been raised here and in many other places.

I hope he proves us all wrong and is “the guy”. If so the Force will be looking pretty good next year.

Eight out of twenty is nothing to chirp about. Hasn’t QC (Quade Cooper) and Foleys teams been winning a bit in Japan? I agree that he is the right choice for this RWC. I just wish he had an older head to help guide him along.

TBF if Wilson had switched to hooker he would most likely be starting for the Wallabies now

    Wallabies 2023

Jones might argue that they can teach Gordon and Donaldson to be better at it but the RWC is no place for that.

    Wallabies 2023

Goal kicking is a massive red flag for us. We do not have a recognised test standard goal kicker in the whole squad.

    Wallabies 2023

Nowhere near yet but he should be the backup and starting some pool games. Its a lot of pressure for a young inexperienced player

    Wallabies 2023

Let’s look at England. They also have three tried and tested test 10s. I am sure all of the teams in the top two tiers do. There is no point me or anyone else banging on about it. I suspect that EJs expects to have Cooper, Ikitau and maybe Hooper join the squad at some point between now and the...

    Wallabies 2023

Look at NZ. They have Mo’unga, Barrett and McKenzie. All 3 starting test 10s for just about any country. All three accomplished goal kickers. Jordy Barrett is also a decent kicker. We have a starting 10 who cannot even get the kicking gig for the Rebels and a reserve half who kicks a long one...

    Wallabies 2023

We still have to get through Wales and Fiji, most likely with this group.

With the 48hr rule it will be cutting it very close for replacements at the pointy end of the tournament. Maybe that is EJs plan and we will see Cooper, Hooper and Ikitau in the knockout stages? This assuming we lose a backrower and two inside backs at some point.
