Harsh but fair. Although, I was of the belief that rugby was a national sport and as such it should have a national footprint for its professional base. As far as Victoria goes, we have a large polyneasian demographic who have natural rugby skills and talents - see latest recruits into the under...

Actually, potential growth would be slow in Victoria too as school boy teams are dwindling and clubs are dwindling. But I think we have produced some good coaches at school and club level.

Yes, but what is the process? What is the criteria to offload another team? Surely there should be some transparency in this (this time)

Be that as it may, but if Australia has to reduce back to 3 Super Rugby teams to keep competitive, then why is the default option the Rebels? I mean what is the process there? And go GRR, I love the competition and, well done on the win this year.

    Michael Cheika

an interesting question - it should take into account the total coaching cost base, the value add that the coach produces and the resources of the team and a base salary with win incentives would be a good idea - always good to have some skin in the game youself

and what of the players - those with contracts - win or lose, they still get paid, right? Where's the incentive?

RA wanted a woman in the job to satisfy one of the female directors. Clyne had worked with Castle in new Zealand at BNZ when she was head of marketing or media or some such thing. imo, Clyne threw her name into the pot and they had no one else - a bit like when Castle didn't sack Cheika last...

No . VIctoria did not support the shrink to greatness plan . Victoria called an emergency meeting to stop it from happening but only Victoria and Rupa voted against it. All other states - including WA - voted to shrink to greatness:eek:

NSW and QLD get three votes in total and with ACT they have 8 votes Vic has 2 votes, WA has 1 vote and Players union has 1 vote . CLyne holds the majority if he keeps NSW, QLD and ACT sweet

I'm just glad that Cheika played his entire squad so they each got their appearance fee - it was after all , all about the money

I would think Baden Stephenson would be wetting his pants to get back north and get away from the impending train wreck

    Waratahs 2020

actually I would think it's the perfect time to move, the season is over, he has time to start up with the new mob and the Tahs have time to settle in with a new CEO - maybe the interim will become the permanent. As far as the coach goes, perhaps that timing is off, but trying to align your path...

Joel Lockwood and Gareth Robinson set up EFS in 2013, but in 2016 it morphed into moneylab. The business sold its book (probably to money lab) and the liquidator seems to be inferring that it was sold below value and the company was left with unpaid debts to the ATO. Gareth Robinson is not...

    Rebels 2020

Yes, EFS morphed into Moneylab. The action was brought about due to the debt owed to the ATO, as a priority creditor the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) who have submitted a claim in the amount of $21,919.94 with respect to Superannuation Guarantee Charge and as Unsecured creditor the ATO and...
