My understanding is that he didn't actually play much 1sts soccer while at school, possibly for similar reasons he was asked to move on from the Sydney academies and Aussie clubs didn't have much interest.

Is GPS football played at a high standard? Joey went back to back in 2022 and 2023 yet can't field two teams in all underage age groups.

I wouldn't be expecting too much out of the cricket this year. In the 2nd XI, only three batsmen managed to pass 100 runs from the 14 game season. As a team they were defeated with a bonus point in 12 out of 14 games, which in is fair effort given the bar for a bonus point is set pretty high.

https://waratahs.rugby/news/nsw-waratahs-u14s-and-u15s-team-announcements-202487 There are 23 GPS kids in these squads. Day 1 of the Camden carnival clashes with the AAGPS athletics, which no doubt many of these will be competing in. It is going to be interesting to see how this will pan out as...

Are you saying that after all these years we now have a team worthy of sending overseas to compete with the UK and French teams?

The way it is shaping up, probably the shortest period of goodwill from opposition schools following a GPS premiership as well.

What a great comp. Over 10 games, the top team lost 30% of their games, and the bottom team had a points difference of -19, an average of just 1.9 per game.

That is correct, the Shore 14Cs beat the Joeys 14Ds, 17-7.

I think that is pretty unfair. I think they may have overachieved a little early.

Augustine's A's definitely too good for the 15Bs. Now sure the same could have been said of Oakhill. They were not very strong.

Many of these were vs lower teams, eg Augustine's 15A's played Joeys 15Bs.

Wouldn't kids moving to take up an opportunity elsewhere create an opening at the original school. The kid that is missing out is the one that has been at the school development program since yr7, yet the new school deems them acceptable so they have used the schools resources to find someone...
