NRC 2017 Queensland Country v Brisbane City Saturday @ 1pm

Country in again, Paia'ua this time. Nice move off a dominant scrum that marched City back a long way. 24 - 7 to Country, with the bonus point now. 19 to go.

12 - 7 to Country at half time.

NRC 2017 Queensland Country v Brisbane City Saturday @ 1pm

Samo finally in from 1m out, Country still lucky to have all 15 on the park. Country have barely seen the ball for 15 minutes. Would love to see Horan demand the ball a bit more from his forwards, but it's hard for a young fly half called in like that.

NRC 2017 Queensland Country v Brisbane City Saturday @ 1pm

City with a lot of possession, including a lot a few metres out, and Country with some loose discipline lucky to have all 15 on the field. Despite that, Country defence hold on to keep City out.

NRC 2017 Queensland Country v Brisbane City Saturday @ 1pm

No look inside pop from Tuttle to Perese puts Perese in under the posts. 12 - 0 to Country after 20. Great play. Country lineout faltering but they are pretty dominant in other areas of play.

NRC 2017 Queensland Country v Brisbane City Saturday @ 1pm

Country have a better team on paper and have an early lead. Great odds.

NRC 2017 Brisbane City Fiji Drua Saturday @ 3pm

And I'll let your other snarky/petty/uppity/snide/high and mighty comments go through to the keeper.

NRC 2017 Brisbane City Fiji Drua Saturday @ 3pm

What a load of crock. I'm sorry (well, not at all to be honest) if my opinion disagrees with yours or you are overly sensitive to young players selected so far ahead of their time. You aren't the first, you aren't the last. But not calling a spade a spade is just a load of crap. I'll tell...

NRC 2017 Brisbane City Fiji Drua Saturday @ 3pm

On Kerevi or Korczyk? If Korczyk, hi Mrs Korczyk's, nice to have on the board. If you want to be lazy and say stuff like "you are plain wrong" and "watch the game again", then please provide examples of why. But I'll indulge you anyway. You'd expect a lot bigger impact from a test squad...

NRC 2017 Brisbane City Fiji Drua Saturday @ 3pm

Watching Drua to work out who to poach is a little sad. Comfortable win to City in the end, but Drua played to the end and scored some nice late tries after it looked like they'd fade. Replacements made a difference. Douglas, Tui were handy, and Cooper, Fidow were good in the backs. Kerevi...

NRC 2017 Canberra Vikings vQLD Cntry Saturday @ 3pm

Vikiings win 48 - 40 after Country blow a game winning lead. Vikings got a healthy leg up from the ref no doubt, but Country were the architect of their own demise by not playing rugby Reds style, even when chasing the game.

    Reds 2018

Whilst Knuckles would've been a better coach than the previous Reds coach, Knuckles' mind games belong in another era.

    The Wallabies Thread

If your 10 is back on general play, you can argue it's for counter attack. If your 10 is sitting in the channel on a lineout, he's hidden.

Qld Country - official NRC thread

Interesting, I like Country more than City this year. A team like: 1. Faagase 2. Mafi 3. Tupou 4. Rodda 5. Simmons 6. Timu 7. Wright 8. ASY (Angus Scott-Young) / Postal (?) 9. Tuttle 10. Stewart 11. Nabuli 12. Paia'aua 13. Magnay 14. Perese 15. ? A very strong starting team on paper (edit: likely none of those...

    The Wallabies Thread

Whatever you say, Higgers was head and shoulders above Hanigan this year both in Super Rugby and the first Test. I thought Higgers was also better in the second Test, too. Cheika clearly doesn't like Higgers, his selection of Korczyk (a fraction of the player of Higgers currently, not to...

    Reds 2018

Really? I can name a heap of Rebels, for example, who would improve the Reds squad. Forwards: Hanson, Mafi, McMahon, Fainga'a, maybe even Timani. Backs: Hodge, Naivalu, Koroibete. They also have a few good young players, like Maddocks (fullback) and especially Uelese (hooker).

Force Vs Waratahs, Round 17 - Saturday 15th July, NIB Stadium

Tahs scrum smashed from their own feed 5m out, Force score again.

Force Vs Waratahs, Round 17 - Saturday 15th July, NIB Stadium

Tahs are making so many mistakes. How many times has Hanigan turned over the ball? This pack for the Tahs is one of the worst they've had in years. In these conditions, this game is over, even if the Tahs have their fabled second half comebacks.

Waratahs v Jaguares, Round 16 - Saturday 8 July, Allianz Stadium

I don't know. You'd want to give them the benefit of the doubt and say the Tahs came back from the break much more poorly compared than their opposition. But that team picked was not balanced and some of the efforts put in were substandard. Usual suspects were ok, but that was a seriously...

Waratahs v Jaguares, Round 16 - Saturday 8 July, Allianz Stadium

"Time is going to beat the Waratahs" - Greg Clarke, 9 seconds left, Waratahs 13 points down when they haven't looked like coming close to winning for well over 20 minutes. Jags win 40 - 27.
