    Reds 2018

Going to be snarky here, but I don't like Thorn as a coach. I don't think he has the nuance (or to be blunt, 3 combined Brad Thorns could not get close to Mensa), I don't think he has the man management skills, I don't think he has the media skills. The latter is not a killer, but the first...

    Super Round 2, 2018 - Rebels V Reds @ AAMI Park

I get the feeling that the Rebels are going to blow the Reds out after the half.

Don't worry, you only missed a few dumb cards from the Reds, both of which should've been Red I thought. I started following the Sixers a little time ago, so at least I am enjoying something this year!

Yeah, agree, that should have been red.

    Brisbane Global Rugby Tens

Reds in the corner 2 minutes after full time, NSW been the better side most of the game.

    Brisbane Global Rugby Tens

Great defence from the NSW women's side, but a mile offside. You could see from the low camera angle off the lineout that the Reds girl has the ball still in her hands off the top and their entire line is already running past the formed lineout midfield.

    Reds 2018

As a Reds fan for decades, this stinks. 1) Axe a fan favourite literally days after the squad announcement. 2) Have him on a massive contract and be broke and not able to sign any others. 3) Have no depth in his position other than an unproven 20 year old with potential (but not anywhere near...

Have you seen Benji Marshall's defence? Lockyer was pretty bad too for large parts of his career. There's piles of noted poor defensive playmakers in league.

Alatimu also looked interesting for a development 10 / 12 position.

    Reds 2018

That 2014 City team also got back Gill, Browning, Fa'agase as the season went on, although lost Kerevi at the end. Didn't Cooper also play a few games in the middle as well? The tag team of Gill and Kerevi was unstoppable though, those guys in 2014 and 2015 (especially with Hunt in 2015 as...

NRC Final : Vikings vs Qld Country

Yup, Paia'ua off from a 5m scrum that twisted, poor tackle from Hawera and Dargaville. Off the kick off it's missed by everyone, Daugunu jumps for the bouncing ball and runs 70m to score the winning try. 42 - 28 with just minutes to play.

NRC Final : Vikings vs Qld Country

Duncan binned for a shoulder charge in a farcical decision with 15 to go. His forearm hit the guy in a fantastic shot. How both the ref and touchie can call it is amazing. Vikings then hit back to level it just a few minutes later off the back of that penalty.

Any truth to the rumours that Cheika asked the Reds to play DP over Cooper at 10 next year? Not sure why there's a push for DP at 10, his best position is currently 12 and it looks like that is his best position long term, plus while Cooper and Stewart are in the team the team is better served...

NRC round 4 Rays vs Qld Country

Was a close game for the first half, Rays had most of the ball. Very windy conditions in Sydney today, and it's quite hot as well. Rays scored first and then kicked a penalty to go 10 - 0, before Country hit back twice for a 14 - 10 lead. Rays struck back soon after to take a 17 - 14 lead...

    Reds 2018

And another note, seems like the Reds so far have missed out on available Force players. Naisarani to the Brumbies and likely (?) Hardwick to the Rebels, would've been nice to have at least those two at the Reds.

NRC 2017 Round 3 : Brisbane City vs Canberra Vikings, Sunday 17 September 1pm

Fantastic restart from Cooper, Vikings can't handle, City reclaim through Kuridrani. He pops inside but a Vikings hand knocks the ball down and out. Penalty to City. Cooper takes the tap and kicks it out. Great, close game. City win 42 - 40, kick a single conversion in it with 6 tries...

NRC 2017 Round 3 : Brisbane City vs Canberra Vikings, Sunday 17 September 1pm

Messy off the back of the scrum, Vikings can't hold on, Hewat can break away but can't hold on and Vikings get it back 20m out. It goes inside, outside wide to Dargaville and he crashes over in the corner. Lonegan kicks it from touch. 42 - 40 to City with about 1 minute to go.

NRC 2017 Round 3 : Brisbane City vs Canberra Vikings, Sunday 17 September 1pm

Douglas send to the bin for repeated maul indiscretions 5m out. Clock says about 4 to go, but hasn't been working for a while. With Douglas off, Vikings call a scrum.

NRC 2017 Round 3 : Brisbane City vs Canberra Vikings, Sunday 17 September 1pm

5 minutes to go and Vikings have been hot on attack for the last 5 minutes but the improved City defence is (barely) holding on.
