^^^^The boys generally are better than that, and I am sure that the schools concerned will deal with what is a general community issue. Posting specific details about it on here (particularly when they do not appear to be first hand accounts) is not going to solve anything. If you are outraged...

    Sydney Colts - 2016

^^^^^^Told you it was complicated. As SRU is an organisation run by its member clubs, any potential changes to the Competition Rules to "level" the playing field tend to be defeated or significantly watered down by the Clubs that have the most to lose from the amendment. There is a delicious...

And let's end the speculation and further specific comment on that incident there. The school in question will take whatever action they deem necessary and appropriate. That action may not align with our expectations and level of indignation.

    Shute Shield 2016

Well done to Will Miller on winning the Catchpole Medal. Didn't see that coming, but then I haven't seen too many of the Shoremen's games on the goggle box. The Shoremen have just quietly got on with the job this year, slipping under the radar of all but the rusted on clubmen and more astute...

^^^Do you think their High Performance Centre should include an altitude chamber? I reckon that most parents would be happy if they spent money on quality staff and education facilities.

Don't understand why you would sub the alleged "game changer" off with only a 4 point lead and 4 minutes to go. "Red lining on points" - Then rest players, or don't recruit so many high point players. Isn't that the intent of the Player Points System? Direct the Surplus High Point Players to...

@JimmyLan, "Without being bitter (Ok just a little) " Sounds like you are a bit more than "just a little bitter" Have you read Competition Rule 33.7? The "Filthy Tactics" of The Corporation are completely within the Competion rules. "We were the better side and when we took the lead in...

    Shute Shield 2016

Very odd indeed. It's usually a club located slightly to the North of the Hobbits that parachutes QPR players in the Finals series, but that hasn't happened for the best part of a decade. Is he returning to Sudney for a NRC gig - assume the Rams?

^^^Norths would dream of 120 players rocking up to pre-season/ opening rounds. For the last couple of years they have run 3 competitive teams week in week out using around 60 players with no games defaulted. Most clubs use approx 80-90 players throughout the season in their Colts program.

    Sydney Colts - 2016

^^^^ Norths have had the measure of The Corporation in their Home/Away matches for 2014, and 2015, and possibly 2013 - things are a little hazy from way back then. I can't recall them meeting in a previous final match, but if they have in the last 3 years, they haven't been able to repeat the...

^^^ The Paul Keating clause. :) "In a two horse race, always back the one called 'Self Interest'. At least you know it will be trying." No need to glance at the draw to find that New will be playing Shore this week.

    Shute Shield 2016

Doesn't matter what measures are introduced to level off the playing field, there are several certainties: 1. There will be loopholes that will be exploited, 2. There will be unintended consequences of any new measure, 3. It will always be the "other" club that is rorting the system.

    Sydney Colts - 2016

^^^^I'm intrigued now. Is there a glasshouse on Coogee Oval? Might have to fire up the Jarse-o-meter to check out the Colts 3 team lists from this week. It would be nice if the team sheets could be relied upon. I seem to recall some discussion involving one of the clubs in question seeming...

    Shute Shield 2016

To complicate matters, Clubs seem to be able to "loan" players to each other. Back in the day, Drew Mitchell and Matt Giteau were seemingly registered with Balmain Rugby Club. I suspect this was a bit of a promotional stunt more than anything else, but they did play one match for them, another...
