    Shute Shield 2021

I understood it was multi-camera at one game and single camera at the rest.

I thought he was very lucky not to get a YC in first half against the Blues on the weekend as he was in trouble against his opponent in this match.

Are the 2 centres eligible for the Wallabies? If not, then it is a different proposition to sign them. From the rest, my opinion is that only Iona would potentially do any better than the current crop but it depends whether we want to develop a 29 year old as our long term No 10.

    Refereeing decisions

Although the key point is that is says "usually" not 'only'

A 'cavalry charge' is by definition from a PK or FK. A flying wedge is illegal at all times. I don't believe you will find your position supported under Law 9.

Surely if you play a certain number of Wallaby games, you earn a Wallaby top up? I would think the contract would detail how this works. I would have thought it would be in RA's interest to reward their emerging Wallaby talent or otherwise it might disappear.

IMO the 2 or 3 men hit ups (the Bulls were the worst offenders) should be penalised as a 'Flying Wedge'

This could be very problematic as you need to assume that the injury sustained was 100% due to the incident and would lead to some very different outcomes for the offending players depending on the level of injury. In the extreme situation, what would you do if a player suffered concussion...

IMO there is no doubt that being a CEO or Head Coach in Australia is a much more difficult assignment than in NZ.

Maybe Hooper, Hanigan and Simmons are a lot better than we reaslied. Hopefully we have hit the bottom as it is going to be hard to watch each week if it doesn't get any better.

No Tepai for the first game - injured or not selected?

    Waratahs 2021

One thing that keeps the price down in rugby is that not much funding goes to referee match payments. The referees are largely volunteers.

Swinton has played at lock. That was his schoolboy position.

Given the lack of comment on this forum, it doesn't seem like anyone was that upset by the loss of Rapp.

    Rebels 2021

There are a few Australian born players playing for Fiji to balance this out.

Fyi Brad Wilkin is a Queenslander.

If Paisami and Petaia are not in the starting XV, then they should be released.

And they have moved all BBL matches out of Sydney due to border crossing complications (easy to get in, not easy to get out)

I am not sure they have exclusive rights to the field either so it might be part of the deal with UNSW.
  20. Eyes and Ears

    Waratahs 2021

Probably depends whether the COVID crisis in the US destroys their rugby season.
