I'm not sure that a relegation system would actually be a positive. The increase in risk/reward would undoubtedly create a greater drive amongst boys to win and would result in more exciting rugby, yet I fear that this increase in risk/reward would actually further the current practices of...

Its worth noting that although Joe Harnett played 16A's, he is actually in the year above and graduates in 2021. This means that this'll be his last year of Cranbrook rugby and he could receive some preference over other 16A's boys trying to get into the 1XV.

Mr.S, usually they're gone once they cross the line and break the rules of the forums. I am under the impression that this is what happened to old DionYazdani'sUncle. With regards to the others, we can only wait.....

    NSW CAS Rugby 2021

As far as I am aware, the Cranbrook side from this year had 8 boys who where in the 1XV all year who aren't in year 12 and I think 2 boys who were frequent features off the bench and from the 2XV. Obviously this doesn't necessarily mean that next year's team will be great but it is certainly a...

Solid stuff down at Dangar today. Thankfully the rain stayed away for most of the day, although the field looked to be in pretty bad shape nevertheless. The Cranbrook 3rds won 15-14 over Barker 3rds with a winning penalty goal from the flyhalf; who a couple of the schoolboys near me were...

Don't know if a couple Irish lads I knew growing up would have liked being called English ;)

What sort of New South Welshman plays AFL? I went away from following schoolboy rugby for a while and I have only got back into it in recent years and only when I did was I told about an AFL program at my old school Cranbrook. I can distinctly remember scoffing as to me it was markedly bizarre...

In other CAS news, Cranbrook forward Alexander Strong played in the 5s,4s & 3s over at Knox. A stellar effort.

I sincerely hope that all this talk about 'schoolboy betting' is merely the usual schoolboy nonsense that tends to erode this forum. If not I must hazard a warning to any Green&Gold members that these actions are both highly immoral and most likely illegal. Whilst the punting culture that is...

Jeez SonnyDill, tipping a hat-trick is quite ambitious. I reckon its gonna be a pretty close affair (unlike my former marriage:(), hopefully similar to the rebels and reds game last week. As far as I am aware Cranbrook have a fair bit of youth in their starting squad, headlined by a couple of...

With all this talk about coronavirus, perhaps the season might not even happen. Maybe all 6 of the schools go on an extended tour of the Northern Territory and play out the season in isolation ;) . We could even send WLF and Mr. Serious with a camera and they could livestream it back to us folks...

I'd like to remind Barker3peat of the Oxford definition of cheating: 'to act in a dishonest way in order to gain an advantage'. Hence, I'm in agreement with Mr. S on this one. Perhaps the coaching staff at Barker didn't realise that they were cheating with this whole earpiece scenario, yet they...

Good to be back fellas, I believe that we are in store for another cracker CAS season. I noticed that there had been a few predicted line-ups popping up around the forum, so I thought I ought to do do one for the Brook. 1XV Cranbrook 1. Ben Jones 2. Nosa Obaseki 3. Benny Fella 4. Sam...

it is such a shame that our game is falling behind. Imagine how strong our talent pool would be if league stopped poaching our young players

I have been told that Billy Pollard is captain and Tasman Smith vice-captain for tonight's game; can anyone confirm if this is true? Also is anyone going to be able to provide updates as the excitement unfolds? I have my good mate's son's bah mitzvah on tonight. Regardless I'll be checking my...

Yes. I don't think that they realise that their insight is invaluable. They know the in's and out's of their school's rugby program, but instead they come onto the forum and mock us

Aloys_win, you should never kick someone when they are down. Aloys' showing against Waverley was commendable and I was rooting for them sideline at Queens Park, but Waverley will bounce back. They always do.
