As we hit page 1039, everyone has surely expressed their opinion on whether we should go domestic or stay in Super, no-one seems to have any inclination to change their opinion, and now we are starting to degenerate into insults. Can we please ban this discussion until something actually...

Yes, Robert Champion De Crespigny was a Melbourne mining mogel of French background who founded Normandy mining and got an AC. Is he a relation of this guy?

Wallabies v Wales Game 2 Sat 13 July Melbourne

I think a great 10, in addition to a kicking game, a play-maker and an organisier, has to be an attacking threat. If he's not eg Noah or Edmed, it allows the defence to concentrate on the 12. McKenzie and Mounga are both attacking threats, and our greatest 10s like Ella and Larkham certainly were.

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

Just a couple of specific comments, one involving the Wallabies penchant for dumb penalties. I don't mean to be overly critical of Liam Wright, I thought he played well, but I use him as an example as this happened right in front of me. I was sitting directly in front of a Welsh lineout, and...

    Wallabies v Wales, 6 July

Bit late for my take on the game I know, but went down and watched it and had some other jobs in Sydney so didn't get a chance earlier. Overall a much improved performance by the Wallabies, working off the base of a very strong set piece. We looked very good for a while, but then fell into the...

Hopefully if Pietsch gets a run he will prove up to this level, like Donaldson, the last 'worst ever' player under the Derpus rankings

A fair bit of (quite understandable) bias in some of the comments, however I think I can be reasonably objective as a Tahs fan, and with none of the Tahs desreving to be anywhere near this team. I agree Wright is a good captain, but IMO no better than AAA, who also has the advantage of being...

I reckon a majority of supporters were against the Eddie idea, but I, like many others, took the attitude that once the deal was done, we are Wallaby supporters and we hoped for the best. I certainly didn't expect it to work, although I didn't expect it to implode quite as much as it did.

What you say is 100% correct Joe. There is no question that if our Super rugby teams were up there and competing for the title, and the Wallabies were in the top two or three in the world, there would be way more interest, more sponsorship, better media deals, more kids playing junior rugby etc...

So a substantial number of the Tahs want out, and most of the Rebels would rather play club football then join, combined with results can there be any more evidence that there is a massive culture problem at this club. Yes, we need a coach with a game plan, the ability to get the best out of...

Agree regarsin Rodda TT, but I don't think you can tar all the departing with that same brush.

Most will disagree with me, but I am opposed to the idea of not selecting the players who are going overseas. I get that Schmidt is looking to build to the Lions tour, and that's important, and he's the coach and it's his head on the line, but I have two objections. The first is my fundamental...

Regarding the selected team, I wouldn't have selected Beale, however I can see why he's there, particularly given how few experienced 15's we have at this level. Should Wright implode or get injured, we are very light on. Having said that, if it were me I would have opted for Campbell. Looking...

    Waratahs 2025

I'm always fascinated by the Cheika denigration from so many posters on here. Is it because he was an outwardly emotional person? Or is it just because he was that most evil of evils, a New South Welshman? While I think Dan McKellar would be a reasonable appointment, how is a guy who took the...
