    RWC 2015

Was beaten to the punch by BH and Cyclo re our maul work. There was a lot of players joining in front of the ball. It would be really terrible to kill our momentum through silly penalties. Particularly given that its the type of thing the refs will be more than willing to pull us up for against...

    RWC: Australia v Fiji - 23 September 16:45, Millenium Stadium(24 September 1:45 AEST)

I'm confident that we'll choke Fiji out of this game comfortably. Pooper will make it almost impossible for them to get out of their half. penalty at the breakdown, kick for the corner, driving maul. rinse, repeat

Well that would be too many reserves. You either need one less back or one less forward. choose your poison

    S18 on its way

o_O seriously?! So the Sharks basically get to top the ladder for the rest of eternity. Time to get on Sportsbet.

Wallabies v USA Eagles, 5th September, Soldier Field, Chicago

I think Sio's scrummaging over the last 5 tests has been more consistent, so I'd go with him for England / Wales... not much between them though

The big question mark for me is how do you use Skelton. Presuming Pooper starts the game, do you really want to take either off the field? That potentially leaves you with line-out issues in the final 30 minutes. I suppose they simply need to be very creative and for the hookers to nail their...

Yeh I didn't think Palu was that bad to be honest. He remains a decent option at the back of the scrum, but I think both McCalman and Palu are behind Pocock at this point.

I do think that Genia looked very good when he came on, although the opposition faded badly in the second half so it was a bit of an armchair ride. The decision of Phipps v Genia moving forward is a difficult one. Phipps certainly gives quicker service, whilst Genia's passing game is more...

G&GR Player of the Year- AUS v USA - Soldier Field - Sep 5

    3. TPN - scrum and line-out both excellent thanks in large part to him. Also probably our best ball carrier. 2. McMahon 1. Slipper HM: Foley

Agree. Some of the northern hemisphere teams execute them to pretty good effect. The Wallabies don't.

I blame Quade. That stupid, nothing kick from quade after siren with the Wallabies on attack, really sums up the Wallabies problem in that area. The Wallabies did a number of box kicks when they were on attack in the opposition half. Seems stupid to me, but it would be excusable if they were...

Thought Peyper was pretty good, if perhaps a bit lenient on the Yanks. He let them get away with a bit. They were creeping up offside for most of the game. I think part of it was Peyper trying to let the game flow a bit for the crowd.

One area we really need to improve fast is the in game kicking. We just seem to have no idea how put pressure on teams with our kicking game. We rarely have more than 1 chaser and the kicks are always too long and there is zero pressure on the catcher. That type of kicking will simply play into...

How is Beale more versatile than Horne?? or even Mitchell for that matter? That's a myth IMO. He can play 15 well. He's not an 11 or a 14. he's not a 13, and he won't be selected to cover 10 or 12. Sure Horne can't play 15, but he can play 11, 13 and 14. If you have AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) in the side you already...

So he went off injured 2 years ago. once in 33 tests. my point remains a valid one.

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Ok, well lets ignore for a second that (touch wood) Folau hasn't, as far as im aware, gone off injured once in his whole test career. But if that were to occur I'd select AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) at the back. His ability under the high ball is second to none. Mitchell is also an option. Again this is a very...

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Beale made a few telling mistakes in this game. He kicked the ball out on the full in the first half, when he was under very little pressure. He also missed an important tackle which lead to the only US try (both he and Tomane made a meal of it). Was he generally good in this game? Yes. But to...

I think Mumm is clearly our 6/lock cover. Whilst he's been selected as a lock, he mostly played 6 off the bench. Do you think Cheika will try to play Pooper and Skelton in the same 15?

Wallaby 31 players for 2015 RWC

Yes I do expect Cheika will select Beale, but you'll need to explain to me why because I really do not get it...at all. I'm yet to see him have a stand out game this season for the wallabies. His ball retention continues to have question marks. His ruck work is poor. Along with Quade, he...
