Super Rugby final Crusaders @ Blues

Gardner is just as much of a lottery as O'Keeffe - six in one hand half a dozen in the other.

There's some chat an All Blacks XV (i.e. NZ A) might play later this year. Thompson is a powerhouse hooker - a lot of ability - unlike Apisai.

    Super Rugby 2022

That's a stretch. Blues and Crusaders finished 1st and 2nd on the log and both play an attractive ball in hand style when conditions suit. If Reds and Crusaders had met in last year's Trans Tasman final I imagine that would have been billed as a 'dream final' as each side had won their domestic...

Super Rugby final Crusaders @ Blues

This is as good of a shot as the Blues are going to get. There's no shame in losing to Razor's Crusaders as they have never lost a playoff game with him as coach but you get a home final you have to make it count.

My read is Big Karl is picked specifically to play Ireland. Those props look very set piece focused. Backs look a lot better. Pleased to see the back of dead wood like Frizell, Bridge and Ennor. All deserving debutants - PGS is the luckiest but at least he's a good ball runner which we need...

Bad luck Brumbies fans. As a Blues fan i'm stoked. The two best teams made the final.

Would rather have gone 6 forwards 2 backs instead of Tua but otherwise happy with that Blues 23. Papali'i and Caleb Clarke are a possibility for the final if the Blues win.

The forecast is for pissing down rain so it makes sense. I can't see the ball being thrown all around on Saturday night.

Zarn was on the wing last weekend off the bench - Beaudy, Perofeta and Zarn were all on the field. With Zarn's boot I could see that happening 2nd half vs Brumbies to play field position in the wet.

He looked better when he went to 10 in the last 20 minutes or so. I think 10 is his future.

NSW Waratahs vs Blues, Sat May 28th 2022

Really pleased with that Blues effort after a really messy first 60 minutes. At 14-3 down the Tahs had all the momentum it didn't look like the Blues had any points in them but the Blues bench really made a difference. Tahs made a meal of that first half - should have been up by double digits...

The word is he's been pretty banged up with some shoulder niggles. Playing in midfield you have to deal with some pretty heavy traffic with some large players. Makes me wonder if he is cut out to be a test match midfielder.

Brumbies have a chance to finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th depending on results. Blues locked up top spot. Completely different scenarios.

Pleased to see Blues rest and rotate - Blues bye got all stuffed up covid reschedules earlier in the season. Still plenty of talent in that Blues team so it should be a fun contest.
