Super Rugby Round One: Reds vs Waratahs. Suncorp Feb 24

I'm interested in comments on PC's question earlier, which was 'Gamble v McReight' Who was the better player on the night?

Super Rugby Round One: Reds vs Waratahs. Suncorp Feb 24

HMP is eligible again for the Australian U20's, so with JOC (James O'Connor) returning & Lawson Creighton waiting his opportunity, I think this will be a learning year for him. Unless of course, he 'brings the house down', then the U20's will need to find another flyhalf.

Reg, not only a very strong side, but also a better coached side IMHO. No disrespect to Coleman but Kiss appears to have considerably more experience. Time will tell.

    Queensland Reds 2024

HMP played well at Roma, behind a rampant pack in the first half. However, Tom Lynagh was the incumbent 10 towards the end of last season which I thought he handled well enough. His defense was his only drawback, but that seems to be a common trait with flyhalves. I think we'll see Lynagh as the...

From the photo, just need one more member in the staff crew and they could form their own rugby side.

    Queensland Reds 2024

From what I understand, Wright has the natural abilities as a captain, including a 'good' rugby brain. I'd have him as the skipper, with Tate as VC. Have McReight as the next in line during a game if the first two go off. McReight is

    Queensland Reds 2024

A family member who is an office bearer of a country rugby region tried yesterday to arrange for a corporate box & wanted to know the booking price. The Reds reception put him onto TicketTek, who in turn were not able to provide him with any information as to bookings, for corporate boxes or for...

The one and only Wallaby Coach thread

The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Eddie Jones saying "Sometimes you have to eat shit for others to eat caviar further down the track" It's unfortunate that the rugby fans and the younger wallabies had to experience this explanation.

    Wallabies 2024

You don't need to have size to be a good flyhalf e.g. Michael Lynagh, Steve Larkham, or Andrew Mertyns or MacKenzie from NZ. In fact, for a fly half, the opposite seems to apply. And for a fly half its not so much aggression as cunning that they need to have. By the above, I'm not trying to...

    Wallabies 2024

And then there is Tom Lynagh, who appears to be a natural fly half who just needs a year or two more experience. And he can kick.

    Wallabies 2023

If Eddie has Ikitau in his sights as the replacement player for Jorgensen, can Ikitau play in a Barbarian side this weekend & then be called into the squad & play the following weekend against Portugal? Or would Eddie have to call him in before the Barbarians game?

    RWC Pool C - Australia v Wales - 5AM 25 Sep AEST

Remember that Gordon was a particular target for Fijian loose forwards, while at the same time he was on the back foot as a result of our forward pack getting out played. Yes, he will learn from that game. Lesson in playing with a flyhalf whose experience should have put more options on the...

    RWC: Pool C - Wallabies v Fiji - Monday 18 Sep 2am AEST

'Cry me a river'. The whinging that posters are putting in overtime, anyone would think we lost by 50+ points, not just 7. We need to get over this game and move on to the next.

But Fiji would also have had a number of their star players absent in Europe or Japan.

I'm very concerned about Donaldson's tackling against the flying Fiji centres; they will be smacking their lips. Just hope our cover defense can support Donaldson.
