    April Wallaby 30 Man Squad

We played one good half of rugby in 2011 against an All Blacks team with one eye (and one hand) on the World Cup. It was enough to win us the game. The springboks were 'kak' that year, and when we played the All Blacks in NZ we weren't all that great. People try and turn the 2011 3N into...

    April Wallaby 30 Man Squad

The 2008-2009 gameplan was different to the 2010 gameplan which was radically different to the 2011-2012 gameplan. The most similar to the reds game plan is the 2010 wallabies gameplan, but the reds mix it up each week and often kick much more, so the comparison even in this case is not...

    Reds 2014

So squad changes for next year what do we all think? Browning in for Samo is the most obvious. Placid/Morahan possibly replacing Ant Fainga'a Nguamo or Ready replacing Saia Fainga'a or do the reds look to outside QLD to replace him? I'd love for the reds to get PAE back seing as we will need 4...

2013 IRB Junior World Championship - France

It was a very good team apart from the locks.

He obviously doesnt handle preassure well at times either. But I don't think he handles it any worse than say Berrick Barnes or Kurtley Beale. They just react to it differently: Quade throws intercepts and gets charged down, Barnes sinks further and further back into the pocket and Beale drops...

    April Wallaby 30 Man Squad

I think it's a cop out to say test rugby and super rugby are totally different and expect that to be the end of the argument. Pressure is pressure, it exists in certain super rugby games in exactly the same way it exists in test matches. Intercepts and forward passes are often occur as a...

    April Wallaby 30 Man Squad

I'll play devils advocate on this one: Gone down well with who? Phipps, McCabe, Cummins, Barnes, Dennis, Pocock, Sharpe, Kepu, Timani could all feasibly not play against the lions due to either performance, injury or retirement. Thats a good chunk of last years wallaby camp. It's entirely...

    April Wallaby 30 Man Squad

He's high risk when expected to play certain gameplans because he tries too much with too little support and it rarely comes off. Links developed ways to reduce the risk involved in having Quade in the team. It might not work at test level but we can't say that because it hasn't exactly been...

2013 IRB Junior World Championship - France

But in his first year in the U20's (the year he played 7's), he was our best player and one of the best in the tournament along with Lambie and Bleyendaal.

Deans is going to have the team playing a narrow and unstructured game. With that in mind he's better off picking JOC (James O'Connor) at 10. I think Quade is the best 10 in Australia at delivering a wide, expansive and structured game plan. But this is not how the "Nu-Wallabies" of the deans era play. For...

2013 IRB Junior World Championship - France

But the year before we had players like Gill, Sitauti and Morahan come out of the 7's and then perform strongly at the WC.

    Western Force 2014

Who's on every ones force shopping list? I'd be going hard after: Prior Holmes And some longshots: S. Morahan AWH Mitch Felsman Jamie Taulagi I'd also offer Josh Dugan a base contract with a sacked at the first sign of a fuck ups clause. I like to think the best of people.

    Waratahs 2014

I wonder if he will try and poach a lion? The other option is Charles.

I wouldn't begrudge digby for heading to japan after the lions tour and then spending a couple of years there before heading back in 2015.

Which Referee Is Awarding Most Penalties In Super Rugby?

I think Jackson lets too much go at times. Breakdown can turn into a shitfight.

2013 IRB Junior World Championship - France

Hold up, so is Cusack eligible but not picked due to 7's duty? I assume Sean McMahon is in the same boat? I wonder if F'Sautia, Cusack and McMahon will come into the fold for the final squad? Maybe Malouf as well although I am unsure if he is still eligible.

    Waratahs 2014

If both TPN and Fitz are on the way out as espected, the tahs will have to start giving fringe players from the U20's and Shute Shield a run. The season is already lost, might as well try a few young blokes.

    Western Force 2014

The EPS is for development, not average kiwi journeymen. I doubt Christie will get a run next year, the same goes for eaton. It is good to see the WA lads coming through the system.

I expect Burton is in line for an EPS spot next season?

    Western Force 2014

You would have to say Lynn, Toupou, Rasolea, Stanley, Wykes, Whittaker, McCaffrey and Dellit are all in the firing line. Morahan and Manu all but confirmed for next year. Would be a great shame to see Mafi and Cummins leave.
