BTW - Aotearoa Rugby Pod has another great episode this week. Ben Darwin is the guest and I found it really interesting...

    Rugby World Cup 2023

Out of the thousands and thousands of other players who could have been selected in those countries, somehow players with Island heritage - who are outnumbered in every sense - get selected. How many 1st or 2nd generation English or French or Irish players are getting selected in other...

    Rugby World Cup 2023

And yet the Island nations are represented in England, NZ, Australia, Ireland, France, Japan, Wales....I don't know what the point of this table is other than to say Samoa and Tonga are really poor countries...

    Refereeing decisions

Vermeulen did it as well, right at the start of the game when he was on the wrong side of the ruck. And escaped any penalty for it.

I don’t think he can come back in if he has been replaced.

Not as outrageous when there was no head contact.

    Wallabies 2023

Just going by what Will Genia has said, I woudn't pair White with Gordon unless you want to play off 9 instead of 10.

RWC 2023 - All Blacks pool matches

Everything considered, I thought the ABs put up a pretty good fight for a long time there. Agree with the comment earlier from @Dan54 about going away from what has worked well this year. The little shuffle passes in close contact and offloads look like the ABs against Ireland last year.

RWC 2023 - All Blacks pool matches

Tough game...hard to come back from a start like that. I don't know who it was but there was a head contact tackle on Mo'unga in the build-up to the first non-try at the end of the first half. I tried to get screen shot of it but can't get it. Surprised the TMO didn't pick it up...

If you think 2 bans in 9 months for the same tackle and after completing 'tackle school' is pretty good, then I'm not sure what is bad. One might argue that Farrell has been very lucky to not have been banned more in his career.

I don't know his name but he had some devastating ball carries. Scored a try in the 2nd half I think?

    Women's Rugby

It's not too late. Women's rugby is only just starting to scratch the surface in every aspect of where it can go. But action needs to happen NOW. IMO, the best thing RA could do is to put their hand up, say they fucked up with the obvious inequality of the way the Wallaroos have been treated...

    Rugby World Cup 2023

OK - so nothing on this forum. Comments like "This is a good example of a rugby incident to me. Nothing Lappies could have done. It happens so quickly." are what annoys me about the way the ref handled the Juan Cruz Mallia's charge-down on Grant Williams. In speaking to the TMO, the ref was...
