    RWC 2019 SF1: New Zealand v England

I have already recognised the English in other posts. I also don't think I'm being too harsh at all. Mo'unga and Barrett's kicking was WOEFUL. Incontestable kicks, short distance clearances. And it all started before we got on the back foot. Mo'ungas first kick, we were on attack 25m out and...

    RWC 2019 SF1: New Zealand v England

Ok, but.. AND this is the LAST thing I will mention about the refs. He let an absolute shocker go earlier in the match when we were attacking with good territory. Lost possession shortly after. Two England players completely off their feet, our side of the ruck, nothing at all. It was mind...

    RWC 2019 SF1: New Zealand v England

It was MILES forward. It's just poor standards all round. Touchline refs let these things go all the time. I think Owens had to have seen it as well, he seems to have a tendency to let a losing team have some freebies late in the game.

    RWC 2019 SF1: New Zealand v England

Dan Carter was in the stands DP, you think we should have just handed him the keys for the evening? Could you imagine? Someone who could tackle at 10, kick goals, kick drop goals, kick tactically, kick contestable kick-offs, kick Read up the arse. Good lookin' lad too.

    RWC 2019 SF1: New Zealand v England

I'd think you'd have to be a casual fan to think Owens didn't favour England, honestly. Let's go through it. The TMO decisions, the obstruction was as clear as day, simple. The "drop in the maul", the guy in the back of the maul flat out dropped the ball onto the player in front of him, when...

    RWC 2019 SF1: New Zealand v England

Well that was all rather predictable wasn't it? Can't feel too bad about that one, England are a strong side. The AB's played truly awful and the Poms turned up. Where do you begin? Mo'unga was completely ineffective, didn't get himself in the game at all. Made a major mistake missing his...

    RWC 2019 SF1: New Zealand v England

So pretty close to the normal win rate? Owens is just one of the better refs trotting round, simple as that really. Him and Barnes (now, not then) and maybe 1 or 2 of the saffas are at the top I reckon.

RWC 2019 1/4 Final Japan vs South Africa

Wales vs SA is going to be abysmal.

Most halfbacks aren't. He's particularly been a pest this evening.

Faf needs a stiff uppercut from literally anyone. Maybe he'll find the offside line a bit closer to the ground.

I kind of think they can. This is their M.O. They're just not getting any pay dirt from their set piece. The SA backline has always been subpar, lets be real.

Oh Le Roux! How does he have a pro contract? Honestly.

Haha. The patented South Africa back line move, straight into touch.

RWC 2019 1/4 Final New Zealand vs Ireland

No matter how many times it happens, I always forget that the foxtel IQ box is one of the dumbest machines sold to the public. Completely failed to record the last 10 minutes, because you know, the scheduling says it should be the post game now, so I'll just stop recording this sports event. Ok...

RWC 2019 1/4 Final New Zealand vs Ireland

No, you are just a NZ rugby fan with an awareness of World Cup history. ANYTHING can happen once you reach a knockout game. These finals have a new legitimate variable too, send-offs. Anyone copping a red card in the first half is done for.

You don't need to use the gate when you fly a chopper mate. Richie is all over it again.

RWC 2019 New Zealand vs Italy

That is true I suppose. I'm sure my perspective on such matters isn't held by everyone. Just opinion though.

RWC 2019 New Zealand vs Italy

Yes but a comparison with cricket is not apples for apples. The last world cup for example has 9 pool games as opposed to 4, playing for the same percentage of qualification. The relative weight of a pool game is far less. Cricket is also much more susceptible to the weather, rain is enough for...

RWC 2019 New Zealand vs Italy

This is where I might go against popular opinion. This is what I meant by losing sight of own self importance (somewhat), what I meant by the forest and the trees. You're all under the reasonably held assumption that you need to facilitate a fully sponsored, fully televised, fully catered and...

RWC 2019 New Zealand vs Italy

I think you've lost the forest amongst the trees Dan. World Rugby has forgotten how to put on a rugby game lost in its own self importance. To not have a contingency in place for a tournament running in the typhoon season is unforgivable. You could have both of those squads play out their match...
