Perfection inhibits progress. Sure, learn from previous errors. but don't take too long to decide, otherwise you will likely lost the opportunity.

I agree and prefer this approach. They could use the axeman name and stick with the blue & white hoops. The challenge is you don't build cohesion in a rep side as you do in a club side. It takes time to do that, so more games together is ideal. ACT, QLD, and NSW teams will have this advantage...

If it ran in VIC it would likely look like the ACT model; Quins or Unicorns would field a side, with most of the talent driving to the clubs playing in the national 3rd tier. Would create a massive imbalance in paying tock, and the comp in general.

    U16/U19 Competition 2023

Big shout to the two Harlequins (well, one former) boys in the team - Finn McKay and Louie Tracey. Both are fabulous players, hard-working, and very humble. So deserving of their places.

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

Sorry, I was wrong. Tavi was captain in 2022, and Sione back in 2015. I know there was a lot of interest for Tavo to join his brother over in Scotland, but it appears we've won the battle for now. i'm guessing he's on a WTS contract as he wasn't listed in the main squad.

LAK a loosehead prop. I tihnk he spend time up with the red heavies in 2023 - @RugbyReg feel free to confirm/refute. Another Quins produt too :) Tavi is a gun hooker who followed his brothers through St Kevins College. First XV captain in 2015, before an ACL ruled him out for most of the...

Yes. The youngest of the three.

I saw Tavi Tuipolotu in the day 1 promo video, so assume he is the 4th Hooker in the WTS.

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

They've clearly backed players from the '22 squad, so that means players from the Rhinos, Melton, and EH return. Odd that only one established Hooker is selected, but I'm sure they have a plan. I'm not sure how the selection process worked, given they cut 120 down to 45 without any form of match...

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

No, it won't. It's a bit of a missed opportunity as numbers aren't that great outside the powerhouse schools (St Kevins, BGS, MGS, SC), as compared with previous years. I think with some of te RS schools also playing the schools league comp, there will be further reluctance to move away from...

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

It would be a fair chunk of the U18 academy playing each other - Grange Vs Kevvies. Wouldnt mind an APS selection vs a Shield selection. Would be great to see more teams in the shield. There is five now, and it would balance things out more. Agree that a combined comp would make a LOT more...

    Melbourne Rebels 2024

I wasn't there, so going off second-hand info. I'm told a few late try to Brights helped balance the scoreboard, but I think STK controlled the game for the most part, when when they were down to 14 men.

Looks like you might need to continue that hatred. St Kevvies with a record-breaking 11th premiership, winning 43-28. Fairly heated game, with lots of BS flowing before the match, but it looks like the pressure got to Brighton, and the experienced StK got the win. For a Stk fan the sweetest try...

    Lions Tour 2025

Dare say there will be a few Rugby widows when the Lions are here.

    Lions Tour 2025

Good. It would be a disgrace if ALL Super Rugby teams didn't play a game against the Lions. One of the best nights at AAMI Park was the BIL vs Rebels tour match. Still mad I didn't get a commemorative jersey.
