    Wallabies 2024

He was a center/fullback in the younger age groups. He played on the wing in the 1sts when he was picked there in year 9, and mostly there again in year 10 where he was also picked in Aus schools. The following year was Covid so he didn’t play, and he wasn’t alllowed to play in year 12 due to...

    Lions Tour 2025

What is someone in the know’s best guess for the Lions 1-15? (Or 15-9, 1-8 or whatever the fuck they do!)

    Lions Tour 2025

Yes, that's what got me wound up as well. Muppets.

Australia v NZ. Bledisloe Cup Series 2024. Sep 21, Sep 28

I'm not sure Josh did enough in his short cameo to over-ride his 3 missed tackles, although it wasn't a game I watched for a second time like I usually do so I may have missed something. I thought Gleeson was pretty good off the bench the week prior when he came on for Tizzano and I wondered if...

    Wallabies 2024

    Other way around I reckon i.e. 12. Sua'ali'i 13. Ikitau.

    Lions Tour 2025

sledging poms is a national pastime though, have at it.
  7. KOB1987

    Lions Tour 2025

Obviously he was making a point about prejudging the quality of the opposition before actually playing them. The Lions have elected to tour Australia in 2025 so that’s what’s happening. If they don’t enjoy the tour they have the best part of the following 8 years to work out what they are...

    Lions Tour 2025

These calls from the north to boycott us and go to South Africa are hilarious. Firstly, do they understand the logistics that go into organising the tour? A lot of that has already happened. Secondly, although it's obviously the intent to play against a nation who will be competitive, it's...

    NSW AAGPS 2025

Yeah I agree, once you go to the effort to understand how it works it's not that complicated and it's good that more boys are being given an opportunity to play some rep footy. Incidentally Louis Fenwicke is one in this squad that was in the ASRU side, I'm not sure of the circumstances but I...

    Broadcast options for Australian Rugby

Where did that graphic go? I came back to comment about Jeff Bezos needing to focus on business rather than flying spaceships around, but it's gone now. @Wilson the graphic showed that Stan is one of the few streaming platforms exhibiting positive growth over the last year, along with Kayo...

Australia v NZ. Bledisloe Cup Series 2024. Sep 21, Sep 28

That's Angus Bell I reckon. But he and Valetini probably share the next line.

    Queensland Reds 2025

and despite our woes at #10, JOC (James O'Connor) is not one of those things.
  13. KOB1987

    Queensland Reds 2025

Ironically because they already had JOC (James O'Connor), Lynagh and HMP on the books
  14. KOB1987

    Waratahs 2025

I'm only speculating but I wonder if Sua'ali'i could be groomed as the Wallabies' solution at 12. Either of Foketi or Kellaway at 13 would work.

Argentina v Australia TRC Round 4 Sunday 8 September 5am (AEST)

I had given thought to that as well. Schmidt seems to be at almost opposite polarity when it comes to fitness, in particular gym work. I think he is more into pure aerobic fitness rather than things like carrying barge ropes around, and he is probably historically reliant on match fitness...

Argentina v Australia TRC Round 4 Sunday 8 September 5am (AEST)

I'm not expecting them to reach those heights, but being competitive between now and the end of the year would be a good start. We did at least beat Argentina away on the same tour.

Argentina v Australia TRC Round 4 Sunday 8 September 5am (AEST)

Yeah I agree, the '97 walloping in Pretoria was a turning point for our side back then, with any luck this is as well.

Argentina v Australia TRC Round 4 Sunday 8 September 5am (AEST)

Yes, for sure I'm not defending it so much as just saying I think the erroneous decision making was a bit to do with the heat. I think Joe and co had probably thought they had seen enough in the first 30 minutes to have a bit of confidence that what they had been working on and training was...

Argentina v Australia TRC Round 4 Sunday 8 September 5am (AEST)

I think the heat had a lot to do with it - given the 17 point lead I'd say the intent was to try to hold the lead with some fresh legs, not for it to go completely pear-shaped. The inexperience wasn't properly factored in.

OK I hadn't read up on it. Scrap that, super round the week before then the Bledisloe on actual ANZAC Day. Edit: have the standalone test on the nearest Saturday to ANZAC Day with a bye week.
