Australia A - Back on the Cards

Not many units out there trying to put pressure on the Wobs squad, just load of units going through the motions

Nawaqanitawase is a strong tackler his issue was his defending/decision making. That has improved markedly since his early atrocities and in the games I saw him live this year he looked very threatening ball in hand

Agreed, so pick the units who are least likely to screw up their core responsibilities ie lineout, scrum and do OK around the field And then when we have/find a unit who can hit their lineout options, scrummage and be great around the field - he gets as much love as we can give him The premise...

Or just pick a hooker who can throw, his work around the field and scrummaging isn't making up for his lack of a core skill

Bell is so underdone, I wonder if there wasn't the idea of using the Aus A games to get him more match fitness rather than straight back to test rugby

and yet only two Tahs in last weeks team, some would say that was a contributing factor to the poor performance

He was, but the same shit was happening, I think Jones is realistic enough/pragmatic enough to kick earlier - much to the complaints of many, but when we hold the ball for too long - we f*ck up. so kicking earlier at times will be the statistically sensible thing to do. We struggle to reset...

We could pick more than one winger who will chase kicks ............................. that may help

And the knocking the pass down most of the time is a desperation move to stop a certain try. I am still not certain that a YC necessary, but a penalty in front (so a 10 point try) - maybe (or just make the penalty try 10 points)

Pack too large? Our two big French based locks play in probably the best comp in the world laden with massive humans and they continually kick the shit out of it

    Wallabies 2023

history demonstrates that we aren't any good at the running game either, we sacked Cheika because of his want to run the ball too much we essentially do OK, then get isolated and turn over the ball as we run out of ideas/structure/players - we get rope a doped to play like Ireland takes years...

He doesn't appear fit enough to me to work at test pace, do some "swatting" then not be run through as he sucks up oxygen on the blind side

When the pigs are getting battered the backs will always look crap, at the moment we are still trying to find a balanced set that can compete at set piece and hold the line around the field - I have no idea who that is what I do believe is that the premise dropping in an "on baller" who may get...

On the hooker choice, I think of the bear chasing you meme "I don't have to be fast...I just have to be faster than you" We have no world class options, the are all average, so we pick the "least worst" who can do a job. Whoever is picked will be moaned about because none of them are that good

There is a bit of evidence about that after a few phases the wobs lose their shape and it becomes a waiting game until the turnover/penalty
