    Galloping Greens

Hey Jarse, yes one of son plays for the galloping greens now. My next son is happy to run around for the lowest grade, so no I won't be reporting for Stannies 1sts. My next son on is a good footballer and plays for Stannies 16As who have been Stannies best performers this year. Two other lads...

    Galloping Greens

Agree Chewer the 3rds setting the tone was really important last week and will be again this week. Those 3rds I have to admit, looked average, until they formed up and started to warm up, then they looked so confident, organised, well drilled and coached. Their body language had changed...

    Galloping Greens

With the exception in the firsts game, the refs will be running from the kick off to where Randwick scores mostly. I can't see Southern Districts' teams scoring too much with the exception of 1st grade, I tip Southern Districts to win in 1sts. Randwick have promoted two more deserving colts...

    Galloping Greens

Aussie Rules coaches were brought in years ago by Sydney Uni assistant coach to teach their fullbacks how to place their kicks precisely to send opposition back for lineouts deep in their zones. Norton at fly half does it really well. I believe Randwick would benefit from the same coaching...

    Galloping Greens

My observation about running Rugby is a bit like tennis, if you don't try to put one past the man at the net they keep coming across the net. Same with Rugby if you won't kick it over the fullback he soon wakes up & keeps coming up into the attack. I have seen Randwick colts fullbacks sent back...

    Galloping Greens

A note on Randwick's colts coaching well done all the coaches the colts are starting to look really good. Mental toughness needed for top focus. Seems everyone has their hand up for the ball near opposition line, but a try saved is a try made not so many volunteers to tackle in the last few minutes.

Hurlstone were a rugby good school, my nephew Ben Price approx 27 years old played As and 1st XV right through, and his Hurlstone team never lost to Stannies, and Hurstone 1st XV was selected to rep Australia to play in Dabai.

Marist and Eddies would make good competition as well for ISA, as they don't really have much comp in Canberra, maybe they could fit in a couple of rounds at the beginning of the season.

Hi Huge arse, Stannies actually had 6 open teams this year, admittedly those Sudenese kids play soccer where they come from, but we had a whole Rugby team looking around for a game every weekend, Auggies could only field 3 opens and you are warning Stannies to lift game ? Too many kids would...

    Waratah Cup & Shield 2012

I totally agree with most of what u said crofty, Green always has been the standout back in my opinion, at the same time there are a couple of forwards who also are stand out players, Rory Stonestreet and John Stevens have both often won best forward. I think some of the year 12 students really...

Sorry Blindside that was my typo didnt mean to write Blindide sounds as though u r blind eyed but the score board did not read 48-24 at Stannies ur informant was a bit wishful. Stannies is now the only bush school in the semi final in Waratah Shield & they know they are going to beat Auggies...

Hard to believe Oakhill played Farrer or St Johns as Stannies knocked out Farrer in the Waratah shield this year & Mudgee High knocked out St Johns in the first round last year, maybe they have taken my tips ~ no they‘re not that silly

Hi Blindide I stayed & watched the official scoreboard posted 39 - 25 Oakhill won it was a good game best I have seen Stannies play they corrected all those positional backline weaknesses looked far fitter than Oakhull but needed to keep possession at the breakdown in the backs and Stannies let...

    Waratah Cup & Shield 2012

Hi Lee, I saw Farrer vs Stannies thought Farrer was good. Did not see Westfields game but I bet they got a shock as Westfkelds dominated CHS 1st team rep side. St Andrews big forwards made same mistake once they realised they would lose the game they started getting physical against Stannies...

    ISA Rugby 2012

Hi, St Gregs displayed excellent running form, and brilliant kicking and follow up technique in their backs, exposing the Stannies backline deficiencies of strategical positioning and defensive techniques. Stannies forwards had it over the St Gregs forwards, but when wingers are potioned well...

St Greg’s Vs St Stanislaus Stannies by 8 points, but they could easily not mark up their good backs & lose. Oakhill Vs Kinross-Wolaroi Oakhill by 15 points, Kinros will have to somehow contain and wear down Oakhill's big forwards, no disrespect to Oakhill's backs, but that is where I would...
