Goddard has been very good value in recent years. I have no doubt Thorn can step up, but who's next?

Vella perhaps understandable if Schoupp looks like coming good injury-wise. Slipper, Schoupp, Ieli is a strong LHP roster.

Sorry to see both Hoopers gone. Lachie leaving probably means Tom coming back is less likely.

It's a shame to see L Hooper go before he had an opportunity to play, although understandable with the backrow stocks if Cale can stay fit...

Unfortunately it might not guarantee his brother coming back if he chooses to return home in a couple of years.

Have to think they'll be going after that young Reds half then, they're not exactly short of depth in that position.

What's the go with L Hooper? not good enough or going elsewhere?

Assume this is an acknowledgement that they see the Langi as the future at six.

Tom will come straight back into the brumbs.

Great day for ACT Rugby with Ryan Lonergan finally getting an opportunity under Schmidt. Has played 9 matches for Australia A since 2022.
Has been in many squads up to this point:

1} 2021 Wallabies July Squad vs France
2} 2021 Wallabies Rugby Championship Squad.
3} 2022 Wallabies April Gold Coast Squad.
4} 2023 Wallabies April Gold Coast Squad.
5} 2023 Wallabies Rugby Championship Squad.

Has been so close to a cap for the past 5 international seasons, and yet has stuck around in Australia playing great rugby for the Brumbies and has worked his arse off to get a shot this year at a gold jersey. 93 matches for the Brumbies since 2018, bided his time behind Joe Powell and then Nic White down at the Brumbies, and now owns the 9 jersey for the Brums and now hopefully for the Wallabies. Fully deserved call-up and hopefully he kills it when he gets the chance.
