Although only trials I know, the Shore forward pack remains unchanged except for Amarti (shoulder) ?? The Shore forwards were decimated at scrum time and bashed at the breakdown with no front foot ball provided, some of those forwards should have trouble looking their scrumhalf Greig in the eye this week……..

I think Armarti will be playing a half if not some time in the 1s on Friday. But as you said that is the main reason Cowdery has been brought in, purely to save the scrums.

Hopefully his scrummaging prowess also allows him to showcase his pick and go skills that were absent from the game last week, slow stagnant ball shovelled to a backline with no ascendancy, no thanks!

A reminder for all rugby fans but especially the fans of the 23 and 24 AAGPS season: This Friday sees the Aus u20 team play the Japanese u23 game at Coff’s Harbour and it is being broadcast on Stan. Should be a great watch.

Will Marshall Le Matire be called into this lineup? This guy made his 1st grade debut for norths on the weekend and overperformed! Marshall had been sick all week leading up to the game, and was spotted vomiting after the game, poor bloke. Still managed to have a great performance and debut! With all things considered, i believe it would be rough if he didn't get a call up, do the Aus Rugby selectors have something against the bloke? Guess we will see, however it would be disappointing if he couldn't represent his country (definently deserves to). Just my take, open to other opinions.

I caught up with my nephew this evening (much to my disgust he is a member of the St Joseph's GPS rugby squad,

Player
One of my nephews goes to Riverview.
To say I was disgusted about this questions my love for him.
Disappointed? Maybe
Upset? Not really
Disgusted? A real uncle would not say that.

BTW, my best man was a Shoreman.
I am godfather to his youngest who attends Shore.
I am very proud of him.

Thank you for the player observations. Treading a fine line though.
Remember school students cannot come here and defended themselves and this type of observation only invites their mates to jump on here and flame this place.

Carter it’s a prodigious talent but it will be interesting to see how he performs under the scrutiny of GPS rugby, temperament will be the key determinant

Two clinical players from the same school both fighting for that #15 jersey.
We will likely see both fit into Newington's 'stacked' backline, with Jarryd King likely moving into the outside centre position (13), a position played earlier in the year by King in the U18s Waratahs vs Reds two-game series.
