Wallabies 2025

I was pretty shat off when RA pinched Cheika from the Tahs. He'd won a flag and I think we'd made the finals 2 years after. Then they gave him the Wallabies gig ( which had some pretty big ups and some lows) which I felt hurt the Tahs badly - I know there is a balance between rewarding good organically grown coaching against fucking over Supe teams. This chat about Kiss is a prime example.

Cheika started at the Tahs in 2013, won the comp in 2014 and took over the Wallabies' the same year due to Link leaving...

The following year the Tahs made the semis and then he was with the Wallabies full time.

I'm obviously of a different mindset. I want all our Super franchises to go well but the priority is the Wallabies and if that means that the coach of [insert your favourite franchise] has to resign as he's seen as the best choice for the national gig, then so be it.

I don't think with what I've said is opposed to this, I've just disagreed with @Braveheart81 inference that Reds fans think Kiss should get it and would be dirty if he doesn't. I don't think that's the case as all 3 coaches have fairly similar claims to the role so I'd be indifferent to any of them. Not because they've taken a coach from Super Rugby, rather I don't think any of the Aus Super Rugby coaches are really the best candidate.

Excuse my ignorance but just what does a Super Rugby coach (or assistant coach) do between June and November?

For 40-50 hours a week

And why couldn't they be Wobs assistant coaches
