Wow, interesting take on Joeys 3rd lineup for the 2025 season. Definitely some new names appearing. Let's see how they go in trials. Is this confirmed?

Hey lads, lets get some serious year 10 footy talk going.

Charlie Briggs is an absolute weapon on the rugby field, a standout talent who dominates every game he plays. As a key player in the prestigious Gen Blue program, he consistently proves why he’s among the best young rugby players in the country. His athleticism, vision, and game awareness set him apart, making him a nightmare for the opposition. Whether he’s breaking tackles, setting up plays, or putting in massive defensive efforts, Charlie always delivers. His commitment to the game is unmatched, and his skill level is undeniable. Playing for Gen Blue isn’t just a title—it’s proof of his elite ability and dedication to the sport. Week after week, he showcases his raw talent, leading by example and raising the standard for everyone around him. Charlie isn’t just a good rugby player; he’s a future star in the making, and his time with Gen Blue is only the beginning.

Thanks - Xx_Rugbypro69

I couldn't agree more mate, his raw athleticism is quite remarkable, the Prop pairing of Lachie "Loch" Hannan and Charlie Briggs is going to be one to watch in 2025. The 16As are unlikely to be toppled with this firepower in the front row.

Although Charlie is a LARGE part of the riverview team. There has been some chatter about if he can through a line out straight.

Just a comment but would love to see how he goes this season with all this talk around his big off season.

Hey All Rugby Patriots,

I was just messaging in regards to the status and predicted lineup of Saint Ignatius College and the Scots lineup for this incoming season.

Cheers,

Predicted u16s GPS Presidents 1st XV:
mostly agree there TPPG22, I would like to see the presence of Sebastian Conna or Patrick Phillips there instead of Jack Currenti

and also @ThePassionatePilfGod22 is the additions of makoto and Hall to their respected schools confirmed? if so they are very big additions! If i knew any better i would say Hunter Hall would be pushing for the opens program over at Newington.

I believe Makoto commenced at Kings Term 4 last year.

a small reminder.....

Dear brothers and sisters (yes, there are some mothers who read this) of the AAGPS rugby thread.

To begin with, congratulations to the Wolves of Lane Cove for their win today.

I hope all have enjoyed the small break over the past month to think about the contributions you will make this season. To make it simple, here is a reminder of the behaviours which garner you a warning all the way to a permanent ban.

Off topic posts (Warn)
Lift your game (Warn)
Racially Offensive Post (Warn)
Play the ball, not the man - towards public figure (Warn)
Schoolboy: Talking up your mates (Warn)
Play the ball, not the man - towards fellow forum member (Warn)
Schoolboy: Speak respectfully about Schoolboy rugby players (Warn)
Schoolboy: Discussing off field behaviour in schoolboy threads (Warn)
Schoolboy: Discussing imports/NTS/Politics/Pappa in wrong thread (Warn)
Being an annoying troll (Ban)
Lacking the maturity required to add value to G&GR community (Ban)
Racially Offensive Post (Ban)
Oxygen Thief (Permanent Ban)

Like a driver’s licence, with each infraction a point value is assigned. These points add up and if you accrue a certain number, you will find the longer the ban and even permanent. In addition, you will receive a PM from the moderator advising you of the issue and the details of the penalty.

In short, behave we have no issues. If not the other moderators and I shall be cracking down.

I have been here a long time and hence I am now I am the wise old badger. We have a great small space in the rugby universe to enjoy the sport we love, the schools many of us attended and the friendships made here. I look forward as always to meeting more this season in particular the students who will carry this forum on once I have “gone down the deep tunnel”.

Stay well

Good to be back.

Very happy about Riverview today getting the HOTR title back. Podium in every race as well I believe?

Shore did exceptionally well across the regatta also.

Onto the footy. Plenty of boys representing NSW today against QLD in the 18s. Big win last week at Ballymore v QLD with Gough of Joeys looking unstoppable at times and lead around the park by Captain Grover of View at 9.

Geez that View boat was strong… Shore and View hand in hand on the duopoly of rowing it seems.

Anywho,

One to look out for this year is Finn Hannon U16s at SJC.

Even with an enormous amount of returning 1XV players from last year (9) Hannon is still one that will stand out. He was comfortably the best player in his age group, in the Waratahs academy and is included in the opens squad. Along with Eddie Garcia who was also a standout in the Waratahs U15s and part of the waratahs academy these young talents will strengthen and add to an already very experienced Joeys squad.
