Well actually the debate was whether McCabe is a 12, but that hasn't stopped a number of people changing the argument.
He's definitely a 12. I saw it printed on the back of his jersey.
Unless you're scoring his looks?

Agree totally...suggested this some time ago have Beale at 10 Mccabe at 12,JOC (James O'Connor) 13,Digby 14 ..for mine then AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) as custodian and Lachy Turner on other Wing( He is still class when fit). Alows Beale to truck it up through Mcabe or Cut him out and let JOC (James O'Connor) create space for Wingers. If Mccabe can develop a short offload by getting his hands free JOC (James O'Connor) will be a handfull.Maybe in the modern game, McCabe is more of a 12 than a 13.
If you look at Wales, England and New Zealand, they all play the bigger runner at 12 (Roberts, Tuilagi and Nonu) and play the better ball player at 13.
Maybe the Wallabies will be better served going forward by sticking with McCabe at 12 and converting JOC (James O'Connor) or Tapuai to a 13?
I think people conveniently forget that if we're not using McCabe to bash it up off first phase ball then it's JOC (James O'Connor), or Digby, or Pocock, or Hooper etc
These people seem to have the idea that McCabe is out there calling the backline plays.
I'd say you don't really know much about playing 12.Well he hasn't had that effect in 'Yellow', thats for sure.
I'd say it has a bit to do with who is at 12. The fact is the Wallabies attack is hopeless, and it probably doesn't help to have a battering ram who dies with the ball in such a key position.
Aren't you desperate to see him replaced by the guy that murdered one of very few opportunities to score on Saturday? Yet your knock on McCabe is that he dies with the ball? Seriously? It's tough to attribute something that outrageous to anything other than bias in favour of your favourite team/players.
Oh that's right, "Taps" is Super Rugby superstar and is therefore the long term answer at test level. Which is fair enough since the Wallabies have to play the Super Rugby sides in a 18 round comp for the Super Rugby trophy
oh wait, no they don't. they aren't doing that at all
Hands free through the advantage line scores alot of tries and wins you alot of games..Mcabe is not far off..took Nonu a while to get the pass working, seems to work now.
Again, using McCabe to bash it up as a plan hasn't exactly been paying off has it. They only time its effective is 5 metres out, and we get into that position once in a blue moon.
No one is questioning whether McCabe should or shouldn't be part of the team, they are questioning whether his skillset is best suited to 12.
If you cannot comprehend this, and it has been spelled out in pretty simple terms, then I fear you may be a couple of chromosomes short and there is no point going on with it.
If you have a flat (or late) playing 10, you need the 12 to be running fucking hard at a hole to attract some defenders.Well he hasn't had that effect in 'Yellow', thats for sure.

Harris actually topped SMH, FxPro and 1 other i can't remember as best 12. Not bad seeing as he played 10 in 1st 3 games and missed 3ish with hamstring injury. Think this is his best position but we are yet to see him play it at test level :/I wouldn't say superstar, but he finished the Super Rugby season as Australia's best 12, so he is more than worthy of an automatic selection until someone can prove to be better.

I guess I just can't comprehend the ever changing reasons as to why you don't want him at 12...
We don't need a centre playing out wide when we already have an abundance of wingers and fullbacks...
