NSW AAGPS 2026 (banter and commentary)

such a shame to see. Almost all those selective schools seem to have lost all their co-curricular programs. seems absolutely crazy in my opinion.
In the late 80s we had at least one Sydney High Old Boy in the NSW rowing crews at nationals. Seems the wheels fell off after that.

Well it was a High runner, Dylan Dutt, who won the open 100 & 200 double. First time (?) for High since Terry Lancaster, Ken Grover and Michael Brown achieved the feat all in the 1960s.
Well done to him. Got to feel for Bailey R-L of NC who did his hamstring. He would've gone close to Koula's 10.58...

Yes very bad luck to B R-L. I just make the point again of what GPS rugby has lost since High is totally selective now for each of those lads from the 1960s played on the wings for High.

not signed to any major deal, believe he’s assessing his options with union a genuine chance.

potentially we see a lot of young guns head over to R360? Heard they are targeting a couple players from last two years Aus 20s sides
That would definitely make things interesting and open up some room for those fringe players to get more exposure here

I'd find this extremely unlikely at this stage of the concept. R360 have been pretty clear on wanting established professionals at this stage and back filling with pros from competitions like the NRL.

You can play a flow on game and think well if Toulon lost 3 players to R360 they may go looking for more talent and then the Schools players come into effect but we won't see kids from Sydney basking in blood money just yet. They want and need known names.
